What have you done on your bike today?

Today i went out on the 996, nice day today and not stupid hot. I need to put a new oil pressure sensor on, the oil light keeps coming on when in tick over, i know there's oil in it because i topped it up this morning ffs!! It's already been through two, i've got three new ones in the garage somewhere, i bought a load on ebay ages ago. (y)

I reckon I’ve got about 300 miles ragging left in my back tyre…got a free weekend so will see how much I get out of it. That said, might be a bit moist during the times I can get out, so we’ll see.
What tyre do you have on it?

I’ve got those on my Supersport, which is fairly similar to your 996 on power - they suit it perfectly and I’ll put those on again when it needs them.
Do you want a race, i'll kick your arse, my 996 is the fastest bike in the world!! :ROFLMAO:

Helloooo 👋 I’m back from Ducati WDW and holidays 👍.

You have it easy you wuss... Do you know how hard it is to get hammered in this temperature 😆View attachment 113805
I’ve no idea where that quote came from but yes I do now, it was 34-38 most days and 24-27 at night.
As you may remember, @RA5 and I called in at CCM Bolton on our way home from the Ducati Community Scottish tour. The story started 7.00am on the 3rd of May when I filled in an online form requesting a test ride, half an hour later the MD rang me an after a long conversation I agreed to a factory visit on the way back from Scotland.
Whilst at the factory following the said test ride I put a deposit on a bike, customised to my choice.
They make about 150 bikes a year and the waiting time is about 3 months.

3 months later and the bike is ready. I opted to collect it from Bolton. Guess where all the rioting is taking place?

Yesterday morning I rode from Dorset to Bolton with my 6’3” son perched on the back. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and had another look round the site.

We then dropped back down to Leigh for lunch:

Before clocking up a few more miles to Ludlow where we stopped of the night:

This morning (after a full English etc.) stopped for a photo shoot at Hereford Cathedral (home of the Mappa Mundi):

And then on to Tintern for coffee, getting home in time for lunch.

Yesterday we went for a bimble to the Windmill Cafe, when we left we could see a tower on the hill in the distance and decided to head for it…

It was Victoria Tower on the hills above Huddersfield, came home via Holme Moss, Glossop and the Snake.
Today, I went to the Tillbridge Tastery near Lincoln for breakfast, had a go on this, he’s trading it in, they’ve offered him £9.5k against a new one, I’m very tempted, the cheapest I can find around here is £12k

Try removing the oil pressure sensor, putting a washer under it and then screw it back in.

I’ll sort the holiday photos out and maybe, possibly, update you all.

I wil give that a go, cheers dude!!(y)

So though I’d go for a spin seeing as the weather is good and I had the time
Went to start the bike fuel pump jumped into life as usual but on pressing the ignition button a fast buzzing sound could be heard but the engine wouldn’t turn over.
It’s been acting strange for some time now on hot start ups but this is the first time for a non start.
Battery reads well and is relatively new, so I’m suspecting the solenoid

Whipped it off now looking for a replacement
Any recommendations for a supplier?
It’s a 1997 900ss
