What have you done on your bike today?

The basic Monster with a dark screen and the multimedia system (for navigation) is £11,805.

I could do that tomorrow if I want, but I'll wait to see what happens. and for my mate with the BSA, to get his shit together and take on my ST3.
Also, because I am unconvinced that I would even notice the benefits of the more expensive models, I might go for a basic Monster anyway. When the time comes, I will think about this more in depth. On the other hand, I should just go for the best one, just because I can!

Perry, Have you thought about asking @West Cork Paul if you wants to sell his prototype ducati foggy rep. You'd be able to get your leg over.

And what is this minutes thoughts on the matter 🤔
True. It will still be a Monster but it is not a given that I will ever get my money, or be allowed to spend it on what I want. The basic Monster, I can afford anyway, from my own stash, but I won't get a more expensive model unless I am allowed to spend the money, by my new Mummy!

Yesterday evening I went on my biek to teh golf club - I'm away mon/tues/wed next week over in Yourkshire for the club trip and they were drawing teams last night.

A pal that we play with is renowned for stating the bleedin' obvious...stuff like "that went left"..."your short there"..."ooh you just missed that putt".

So I walked into the bar with leather pants, biker boots and a bike jacket holding my helmet...Martin goes "you come on your bike?" He didn't get why everyone started laughing.

Today my mate came up at 9-30am and took the Mikuni carbs off my LC to dismantle and clean. (Ultrasonic). He took them back to his house to clean, then brought them back.

He re-fitted the carbs with new float chamber gaskets (from Yambits) , adjusting them according to the manual.

Then we drained the gearbox and put 1 1/2 litres of new light gearbox oil in (Silkolene). The old oil was likely contaminated by a bit of petrol.

Put new petrol into the tank.

Removed both spark plugs to check if sparking - yes.

Emptied the left hand silencer (took it off) of petrol (it was full) and re-fitted it.

Wouldn't kick start so we bumped it down the avenue a few times until eventually it fired up. A torrent of old petrol shot out of the right hand silencer (we thought it was empty but it wasn't).

Warmed it up and woke any neighbours still in bed at 2-30pm. Turned it off, then tried kick-starting it - fired up first kick.

Then it started raining, so we put it back in the shed.

His bill for today - £20

As you may remember, @RA5 and I called in at CCM Bolton on our way home from the Ducati Community Scottish tour. The story started 7.00am on the 3rd of May when I filled in an online form requesting a test ride, half an hour later the MD rang me an after a long conversation I agreed to a factory visit on the way back from Scotland.
Whilst at the factory following the said test ride I put a deposit on a bike, customised to my choice.
They make about 150 bikes a year and the waiting time is about 3 months.

3 months later and the bike is ready. I opted to collect it from Bolton. Guess where all the rioting is taking place?

Yesterday morning I rode from Dorset to Bolton with my 6’3” son perched on the back. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and had another look round the site.

We then dropped back down to Leigh for lunch:

Before clocking up a few more miles to Ludlow where we stopped of the night:

This morning (after a full English etc.) stopped for a photo shoot at Hereford Cathedral (home of the Mappa Mundi):

And then on to Tintern for coffee, getting home in time for lunch.
