Erm, no - why?Ever thought of riding down South?
We forget how exciting those moments wereYesterday i rode to On Yer Bike/Ducati Aylesbury to have butchers and sit on a Guzzi Mandello amongst other things. It's a lovely looking bike as you approach it . I didn't go do far as a test ride though, that will keep and I'm in no rush .
I noticed huge discounts being offered on Guzzi Stelvois there, up to £4k off with a brand new one available at £11500. That looks a lot of bike for the money but also presumably selling slowly hence the discount or are they all doing that now that the benefits of living in a Socialist Utopia are kicking in?
There was a Husqvarna 401 Svartpilen there, only a couple of years old but in shocking condition. It's the first Husqvarna I've seen in the flesh, are they all that bad?
On my way home i stopped at Milton Keynes Honda not that I'm after one but just to look around. While i was there a young bloke was picking up his first bike, a CBR125 i think. He looked so excited and his Mum filmed him as he rose away with his Dad riding close by on his bike. Nice to see a youngster starting out and fully supported like that.

My son whatapped me friday evening when I arrived in lanzarote..before I left i had fitted his new pipe on his cb500 hornet .. below is a small snippet starting with our needey cat following him like a lap dog because my wife is awayFrom The Meaning of Liff - by Douglas Adams and John Lloyd, 1983.
Nempnett Thrubwell (noun) - The feeling experienced when riding off for the first time on a brand new motorbike.
Does make sense. Adding damping and slowing down the rate at which the suspension is activated by bumps can allow it to deal with them better. Underdamped and the suspension is still reacting to the last bump when the next one comes along and the bike feels like it's getting out of shape. Strike the right balance and it glides over the bumps much better.I stiffened the rear compression and rebound 10% to try to do something about the crap road surfaces. It’s counter intuitive to firm it but the difference in comfort was really impressive, and much more feel through fast sweepers - result!

Are the forks fully adjustible? On both my Duacatis i was allways playing around with settings!! I had the full toolkits for my 996 and 900ie and would park up to sort suspention i wasn't happy with!! The 996 was pretty much bang on but the 900ie needed to be adjusted now and then.I stiffened the rear compression and rebound 10% to try to do something about the crap road surfaces. Have you considered a p/x with a TY175 or similar, probably more suited to today’s roads……I stiffened the rear compression and rebound 10% to try to do something about the crap road surfaces. Sometimes it's not to get to involved in set up, it is a fucking minefield man, what pleases you is key!!Yes all adjustable - manually. The current model has electronic suspension…I think I’ll have a go on one, but to be honest, I was very happy with the set up today.
Imo stay with the one you have, after last summer and on accasion this year people seem to be going back to old school analogue bikes!! Mainly gsxrs, watch on you tube on a guy that filmes bikes at Rykers at Box hill. There are loads of old school superbikes coming back and i have noticed the market price for them has shot up in price!!Yes all adjustable - manually. A good friend of mine bought a Hayabusa mark 2, he test rode a mark 3 and said it was shit, way to refined. He had some bad feedback on his mark 2 with a set of Avon tyres, can't remember the name, Azzure our some shit!! I had a blast on it and i swear to god it was like riding on ice, he swaped them out for some Bridgestones, he let me test it out and it was a whole new bike. Fucking 150+ on the motorway and it was on rails.I’ve said it’s a keeper - I love it. The only real difference with the new one is the suspension, and I doubt it’ll make enough of a difference to warrant the money to swap. In fact I’m bloody sure it won’t. I can buy a winter bike for the difference.
I’ve just talked myself out of it - thanks Wayne![]()

Bridgestones was allways my choice for the 900ie, there is such a great scope to choose from!! I allways used Bridgestone Battlax BT-021 on my 900ie. i could get insane lean angles when they were warmed up on a sunny warm day. I never had a point of loosing confidance on them.I swapped Pirelli’s to Bridgestone on this bike…great tyres![]()
