What have you done on your bike today?

Rode the SF in to work today - what a dream that bike is when it's in it's happy place effortlessly blazing down the road. I need to schedule the Annual service and take care if that recall.

Slow leak on the rear on KTM, found a finishing nail in a tread, shoulda been an easy fix. Tried plugging it, no joy. Not sure how I fucked that up. Not crazy about replacing a brand new Rosso IV.

I deflated the tire and let it sit a few days, let the heat do its thing. I just inflated it to 36psi a few minutes ago, checked for leaks, no bubbles. I'll wait til tomorrow take it for a spin, obsessively checking pressure pre, during, post, and see if it holds.

Changed a couple of threaded inserts on the Daytona today. When I took the tail unit off the other day the two rear screws were quite tight coming out & one was spinning the insert, which required gripping from the rear to get the screw out.
A bit of careful grinding with the Dremel weakened the lip of the inserts enough so I could peel them off & extract the insert bodies from below.

After a quick clean up the new inserts were installed.

New inserts fitted.

All back to normal now

Back from a morning ride, pressure on the rear tyre held and even increased as it should so I consider it done but will closely monitor. No need to do a burn out or replace the tyre for now thank the gods.

Blackmoor gate for lunch


Then on to Great torrington ( a popular stopping of f

place Note the Harley parked up beside the Enfield).

Then on to The Black Cat Garage before making our way home for a well earned beer.

I’m up for a bimble darn saaarf, got to visit someone in Paignton, so could combine the two, maybe even come via Wales and visit my cousin in Brecon; I can feel a road trip coming on.

I’m not meeting up with you if you still have ape hangers. I can forgive the Harley, but a line has to be drawn somewhere.

I have drag bars to fit on it just haven't got round to fitting them yet and also some 2 inch riseres!! Flat bars for me dude, i did the same to my VN800!!
