What have you done on your bike today?

Went for a ride to Hikurangi to see me old mate @Chizel - Founding Father. I was hoping to get a photo of him on the little bike but he was covered in paint splats like some kind of bizarre bukkake participant so I said NO! Anyway, he made me acuppatea thanks bro!
Stopped for a photo on the way home.
Earlier I had been out on the proper bike and we watched a class trip abseiling down in front of this cave entrance.

It must be very gratifying bringing a machine like that back to life, and getting use out of it

After a non start yesterday - made it to the bottom of the road and the fuel pump filter popped off - my tie wrap (that'll fucking do) fix wasnt good enough - i had a box of the metal squeeze clip things but didnt use them....live and learn, fuel all over my foot and newly pressed clips later its all hunky dory again....

PSA. Please be careful on the roads, for most of you, those right tutning vehicles, whereas here, it's the left turning vehicles that take too many riders out. Seeing a profile of an auto ahead should be a signal to be on alert. This year I began turning on my hazards at stop lights to increase visibility while stopped.

I say this due to the recent loss of my nephew who got taken out by an intoxicated driver making a left turn on to a main thoroughfare (5 lanes). He died on impact. The intersection was dangerous to begin and lacked a stop sign for the secondary road.

Regrettably, I had not seen him since he was just a lad. His departure from this realm left quite a mark on everyone lucky enough to have known him. He was quite a kid, everyone I spoke to regarded him as their best friend. The moto community put togethet a ride in rememberance, it was epic and ran flawlessly. Lady K and I have been spending time with her sister and family the past 2 weeks, it's been crazy. As far as we know the driver was/is an illegal with no license and a prior DUI. His identity remains unknown pending investigation.

Someone here posted a photo of a bike hanging from a signal post, that happened just the day after, same town (Myrtle Beach bike week).

Don't be a douche and operate a vehicle while intoxicated or allow someone you can influence or prevent to do the same, we're smarter than that.

Really sorry to hear that buddy - so often it’s the good guys that go. My condolences to you and your family. Time helps but can never fully heal, I hope you have good memories of the lad x

Today i went down to Sammy Millers for Norton day, the traffic in the New Forest was fucking mental, pretty much had to filter most of the way!!
I then went down the road for an arty farty Harley pic then down to Christchurch. My fuel light came on and the nearest petrol station was not that close so a fourth gear cruise to the garage. Filled up and went on to Salisbury for an ice lolly and a drink then home, it's meant to be hotter tomorrow.🥵
