Actually, not much of a wrong turn, coz Poland is on the "trip list" after Ireland! And Wales was on there first, but my route does that one as well!
I won't bring a mate as I don't want to complicate things. And he doesn't drink, so would be a useless addition to the clan!
Is the plan to meet in Belfast (I can't do S' and that came out Belfart) and then to ride down to Cork in one go, or do a stop for the night on the way?

Perry Paul mentions the causeway coast, so as I read it we head north from Belfast and follow the coast anti clockwise.

Between my daily loss of internet, I just checked the Orish Ferries site. I can't go to France, unless I go back to Dubline. I think that I'll do Rosslare to Fishguard on the way home.

And if I get the ST3 sorted out, I will celebrate by buying a Garmin for it! Then I will know whether to turn left of right, in Dublin!

If I get this pile of shite ST3 going, then Spain beckons. That's on the list, as well. So you may get one from Spain. That's in the right ballpark!
And you must be able to get ferries between Spain and Ireland.

Just a bit of fun, really, as I'm quite confident that I could do the whole thing, including France, without a Garmin, but I like to have something to swear at, and blame, for all of the trip's problems. Isn't that what they are for?
