Kawasaki KR1000 Endurance Replica

Well I have some progress to report

Chads been busy with his proper work but has soldiered on when time permitted: the engine is sat in a GPZ1100 standard frame as a build jig but once the down pipes are done I will have to swap it into the KR frame and fit the swing-arm and left rear set for the next stage...

There's something quite special to be able to do that & make it look so good. Whatever that is costing it's well worth it & don't polish out the blueing !! Pity it'll be hid behind the fairing !

Just about to get my TIG up & running so hopefully by the end of next week, 2030 I might be somewhere close to welding half as well as that ! ;)

It’s costing me a lot of Jaffa Cakes but I buy them when they are on offer at Tesco, don’t tell him 😬

Oh, and quite a bit of the pipes will show as the fairing is only top half 😊👍

Just luverley , I trust you are not going to polish the blueing out, are you ?

Forgot to ask, is 2021 going to see this finished ?

No , they will remain in their raw state and colour up nicely after running too - there's still a few hurdles to get over but hopefully the majority of the bike will be there by the end of 2021  maybe :ROFLMAO:

You’ll need to clear a bike out so you have a bit of room once she’s finished.......

Did you leak test the pipes before fitting mte? Aftermarket GunGum is not a good look.... X
No need, they are welded proper like 😉

just waiting for Chad to be less busy to finish the back section 👀

Hate to say it but even the best tiggers in the world working in F1 and precision aerospace etc test their welds for minute leaks...

Mind you... It is only a Kwacker after all hey.. lol

Luv ya ... inamanlywayobv X
These don’t leak 😉
Kawasaki’s rule 🥳

After Chads sabbatical while doing his proper work 👀 we have some progress on the rear of the system.

Just getting the angle correct in the limited space available - wheels and sprocket sizes are very different so just getting the best visual compromise...
