DIY..... its cheaper

Looking at these pics of yoke
the spare yoke I have in box is not the same !! not the lack of holes but the casting ?

horizontal cast mark all around and half thickness steering stops from cast mark but lower than bottom of yoke

The yokes changed from GT/GTS/Darmah even though they were all Ceriani's.
I assumed the larger hole too the brake pipe to the spliter ? as the yoke spliter and master cylinder all turn together ?
 
Just tried posting again this photo of the yoke with the bolt-hole but it's been held for moderation, again.

It's a Marzocchi bottom yoke but I don't know if it's been drilled out as you say. What diameter should the hole be?

Just measured the bole of the mounting point. An 8.3 mm drill just passes through.

If anyone comes across a PHF 30 carb body or carb i need to replace one with a crack in it :-( Preferably an AD. front pot version. That said always happy to buy and PHF/ PHM ducati carbs for spares or repair.

I have been messing about with clocks tonight. Andrew at Mdina has bezels for Veglia cocks, another firm call MJC does smiths Bezels., both do the glasses rubbers and the fixing screws including the rubber cotton reel type veglia screws.



Here are a few I'm working on, the one at the front shows what i bought in, the others show the cases cleaned and resprayed white inside

Smiths mounting screw and grommets on the left, Veglia mount on the right.



Unfortunately the Smiths are adjustable for speed but not mileage. this means i could adapt a Triumph Smiths to read the right speed on a Ducati but not the milometer. I say this because Triumph smiths are a fraction of the price of Ducati.
I have however bought up a nos supply of genuine Smiths clock faces both rev and speedo from the US. so i might be able to convert rev counters.

Clock case and bezel in the lathe. Bezel sits in a alloy ring i made and the whole lot is held together under presure by the tail stock to seal the rubber round the glass



this shows the ball race i mounted on a ally bar that rolls the edge of the bezel round.
 
Either they have see-through covers or I can't find the link to the picture... Nope, it's just a very poor wifi link in this euphemism for a hotel. There is a picture on google of an identical pair in America

what is the score with compact batteries now ? I cant believe after 35 years the Darmah still needs a car size battery ? surely they have come up with some sort of compact gel type thing ??
any thoughts ? I think it needs about 30 Ah.
