It goes to show, it doesn’t matter how many reports are written by so called experts - if it doesn’t agree with experimentation, it’s wrong

Forget about 24 months ago it could be high at anytime due to lots of reasons... The wife was in recently and her blood pressure was mildly high.. Doctor made a big song and dance about it... Why had my wife gone to the doctor? Well the queen has a bad hip and she was in a lot of pain guess what pain causes? 👀 doc wanted to do a 24 HR monitor but my wife point blank refused saying no problem when her hip settles down... Needless to say her blood pressure is perfect.. I have said here before I am clinically diagnosed with white coat syndrome "yes it is real😆" whenever I hit the docs my blood pressure would be high but after chatting some normal stuff if would settle perfectly so he done a 24hr monitor... 2 high readings in 24 hrs one at 4am in the morning 👀 and one 15 minutes before I was getting the monitor off 😆 it's now permanent on my medical records 👍

From what I understand it's not easy to 'diagnose' high blood pressure as it varies so much, but a 24hr monitor is probably a reasonable guide.
Mine is fairly consistent using a BP monitor at home, always reads much higher at medicals etc.

Nope - I'd guess it was all over the place as I was either putting weight on, or losing it - there was never any constant. This last 12 months is the first time my weight has stayed within about a 5lbs range - mostly it doesn't vary more than 2lbs.

Ok.

I was just asking as I didn't know if you'd previously had a few high readings and the diet had helped.

Just had my BP checked at docs. 125/80. Doc said that is elevated... 120/80 is normal and over 130/80 is a problem. ?

Out of curiosity chiz did he discuss your age? If not you do need a better doc... As we get older your blood pressure will naturally go higher as everything is less forgiving and flexible including our arteries... Maybe he used the reading as a deterrent to smoking but that reading is fine 🤷‍♂️

Elevated is the right word. It's above the ideal but not in the danger zone. Readings in doctor's surgeries are often higher than normal because the patient isn't relaxed. It's better to monitor it at home on a regular basis to obtain an average.

Yea , she had just a minute earlier asked me how it was going with my shoulders, that pissed me off a great deal as I'm getting fucked about. I was pretty calm until then, I don't get anxious at the docs normally.

This is a truncated version (that misses some of the info re what radiation does increasing release of glucose) for those who don’t have FB

I can't view YT videos as they insist that I log in and I insist that I don't.

Thanks, but no thanks @Gimlet

“The creator of the pioneering NHS weight-loss plan” - I don’t care what he believes the science is…promoting any carbs in the human diet isn’t science. We need zero exogenous carbs and thrive without them.

I’ll stick to meat eggs and butter - the easiest, cheapest and best diet I’ve ever done.

I’d been a life long yoyo dieter. I lost weight with willpower doing what’s now known as Keto - just eating meat and veg. But it was only when I cut out the veg and stuck to just meat eggs and some dairy, that I felt completely different, like I was supercharged. And all cravings for carbs went away.

Any of yo know anyone with AF?
My mother has it and is on calcium injections and pills! As a dairy farmer I understand a bit about the relationships between minerals and the side effects of getting it wrong.

This is interesting:
