Diet

I got my meat from a guy I use to game shoot with.
He delivered cattle around the country so we got it cheap.
It was great while it lasted but like all good things it came to an end.
Of late I've been getting it via the meat works shop as I've a mate that works there ( they sell to staff only) and it's about 25-30% off retail. Normally the bulk of our meat comes from home kill where we will go halves of quarters with mates on a beast, but that hasn't popped up for a few months. That usually works out about 7-10$ a kg across all cuts, so very economical. And bloody tasty as well!
I was getting a lot of venison for a while there ( that's my favorite) but not so much lately, that said, I was given a kg of leg steaks last week , made half of that into pies....

I haven't had venison for a long time other than some venison sausages from the local butcher earlier this year. I'm going to call in tomorrow and see if they have any.

I haven't had venison sausages for a while now. Usually my bro and mates do a Sunday every couple of months where they make 600 or so of the fuckers! If ya there and help out ya get to take 40 or 50 away with ya otherwise I just get given a pack or 2 of 6 when I visit but I've not been down for months.
It's a great afternoon on the piss, they have all the pro equipment at Dan's place and he used to be a butcher so is a dab hand at tieing em into strings, I've had a go but ain't so great at it...

Are you calling Chiz a girly or a midget?

There's a lot of disinformation in the article about T2 diabetes etc. A lot of people have cured T2 diabetes altogether using a carnivore diet, and many with T1 reduce their need for insulin.
There is not one study that compares a strictly carnivore diet with any other.

For instance, a pepperoni pizza - according to every study so far, that is classed as a portion of meat. A burger and fries and a coke - classed as a portion of meat.

They blame the meat for what the rest of the crap is doing.

Also, many of the studies prove one thing, but the summary suggests another - pure fraud.

Ultra -processed "food" will one day be seen as the scandal of the age. It's pure poison. Worse than alcohol and tobacco.
At least booze and fags are a choice and not necessary to life. You can have a few days off or give them up altogether and immediately your health will improve. You can't go without food and if all the food you eat is adulterated with industrial chemicals it will eventually kill you. Yet millions of people never eat pure, natural food, just toxic doctored rubbish. And it's perfectly legal.

And it's highly addictive. I've lost count of how many people have said to me when they've asked me how I lost weight, "oh I couldn't do that, I love my food'. Most of what they're eating isn't food, it's recreational drugs, but they ignore you when you mention that.

Carb addiction is real - anyone who doesn't think it is, try a month without having any. And I mean without any - no starchy veg, no pasta, breads etc.

I agree and I know from first hand experience.
A couple of years ago I was having severe blood pressure spikes and generally feeling pretty rough, and I wanted to lose a small amount of weight, only about a stone but it was very stubborn.
I discovered what I call the blood sugar diet which stabilises blood sugar regulation naturally by cutting out all simple (ie. refined) carbs, all refined sugar and all processed food, and restricts food intake to an eight hour window in twenty four. I only eat between 10 am and 6 pm.
Basically I eat unprocessed meat and fish, natural dairy products and natural unprocessed oils and animal fats and low carb and low sugar fruit, veg, and herbs, spices, nut and pulses. And nothing else.
The weight loss was little short of miraculous, but I noticed other things I hadn't expected. My chronic gum disease improved as did a chronic lower back problem. I used to be taking a course of Naproxen nearly every month. Now I've taken it once in the last two years - and that was caused by the riding position of my Harley setting my back off, which was why I sold it.

But the most striking effect has been that I no longer have food cravings and can cope with hunger without thinking about food. I can go all day without eating and not be tempted in the slightest to eat rubbish. I don't go all day without food regularly but sometimes it just happens when you're busy. But I can cope with it. Hunger merely becomes pleasurable anticipation of what I'll have when I get home. I eat at set times and never snack between meals or in the evening. You shouldn't have to count calories to maintain a healthy weight. Your metabolism, if it's working properly, is designed to regulate appetite naturally. If you're craving food your body doesn't need, something has gone wrong.
In the supermarket I walk past the bakery section and packet food aisles without giving them a thought. I don't need to exercise any discipline or will power as I have no desire whatsoever to eat such things. I just buy the real unadulterated foods on my list and leave.
I have to cook every meal from scratch with fresh ingredients but I pretty much always have as that was how I was brought up. Food has been made deliberately toxic to make people addicted so they buy more of it. I cringe when I see what some people have in their trollies and I actually feel sorry for them.

Todays generation have been groomed by food producers and supermarkets to eat trash and as a society we've forgotten how to feed ourselves. I strongly believe that home economics and food science should be taught in school, like they were in my day. In secondary school when I was about 12, we were taught about the basic food groups and their role in health and we had a domestic science block with classroom kitchens where we learned basic cooking and food preparation. That should be brought back. My only reservation is that if it were, it would be hijacked in the state school sector by climate-change and veganism propaganda.

Spot on.

It's the lack of wanting to eat crap that is the most miraculous thing, coming from someone who couldn't leave a chocolate bar in the cupboard when I knew it was there. The only thing that get's me licking my lips now is a nice piece of meat.

I have no cravings. I drove down to Bristol for middle son's graduation the other week. When there, the other seven people that were there for it were complaining about being starving (from about midday) and that they needed to eat something as the restaurant was booked for 5pm and they wouldn't last. Four of them live down there, and the other three had stayed in a hotel, and they'd all had breakfast.

I hadn't had anything - just a black coffee while they were getting sandwiches from Tesco. I was moderately peckish by the time we got to the restaurant but that was all.

It goes to show, that most of what people eat, isn't doing the job of providing nutrition. You feel hunger because your body needs nutrients - it's evidently not because there is nothing in your digestive system.

Vegans claim that carnivores have blocked bowls etc because meat takes longer to break down. The reason it takes longer, is because virtually all of it gets absorbed by our bodies. It isn't blocking anywhere. It's almost totally bioavailable.

And it's highly addictive. I've lost count of how many people have said to me when they've asked me how I lost weight, "oh I couldn't do that, I love my food'. Most of what they're eating isn't food, it's recreational drugs, but they ignore you when you mention that.
