What the feck have you done today?

My younger son lives in Boise Idaho, and has been doing some research on the death of my grandfather (his great-grandfather) whilst serving in the British Army in Malta in WW2 - He was 36 and left a wife and two young kids in Rochdale.

Anyway my son has got the medical records which are extensive and apparently (I haven't seen the records yet) my grandfather died due to kidney failure, which caused him to go into a coma on the under-siege Malta in 1943 - his Battalion left a week later for Italy.

My grandson from the older son lives near us, (aged 9) and he caught wind of this and asked if he could be made to look like a "brave soldier", so using AI, this was the result:

soldier 1.webp

Today I am meeting my brother for the first time at my godfathers who has guns so not a worry.
Quite excited but also don’t want
To be disappointed as he looks like dad I just hope he behaves like dad.
Wish me luck xx

That must feel weird, I hope it goes well and remember, you owe him nothing.

Is there a 12 yo ford focus you can borrow for the day? 🤔

This morning the sun came out, we took the dog for a walk widdershins round the ramparts of Hod Hill. The skylarks were singing. Got home ,a quick change of clothes and out for a pub lunch with the family. Got home, a quick change into bike gear, set off for West Bay (2 degrees C), got as far as Dorchester opens it up and it went all squiffy the back tyre was flat. My son had his pump and plug kit so made a temporary repair and returned home. nFortunately I have a spare wheel and tyre so it won't take long to get sorted.
