What the feck have you done today?

Mat Armstong is rebuilding a £5m Bugatti and the starter motor is the same as a VW Passat.

If it's enough to fire up an 8 litre W16, it should last a lifetime on the Passat.
I've been watching a lot of his videos and he cross references quite a few parts with VW and Audi. Very personable guy that's done really well for himself at a young age.

Yeah - his dad gets on my tits laughing all the time though.

There was a front indicator for a Murcielago that Lambo wanted £400+ for - turned out it was a Ford Focus part, £16!

They're big jobs he takes on - he's able to do it because he doesn't need to turn a profit on the car. I take my hat off to him, he's living the dream (y)

I thought it was just me. I prefer the videos he's not in.

It's fookin' raining again - where did Global Warming fuck off to ???

Woke up this morning, felt quite chipper.
Yesterday I agreed to go help my mate, Miserable Pete to get the swing arm out of his project Honda Transalp. I took ChezzyMick with me, here they are, bear in mind it’s the swingarm we’re removing.

There was no way it was coming out. Pete has been at it for weeks, he’d resorted to getting a hydraulic ram, bracing the bike in the doorframe and trying to squeeze it out against the brickwork of his cellar door; it didn’t work.
Next, we ended up with a cutting disc inserted either side of where the spindle went through the engine at the rear, cut it into three sections, couldn’t get any of the bits to move. Somebody 👀 decided that now we could get the engine out then remove the bits one at a time, that’s what’s happening in the picture.

We had a few minutes like this, then all moved round, had a few more minutes, then all moved round again.
Got it out eventually, then got the swingarm spindle bits out, there were nuts and bolts and spindle bits and coolant and oil everywhere, we had a reyt laugh.
This afters I took the bike that’s been in the back of the van for two weeks across town to my other garage to make room in my garage at home.

You know they still make Transalps right? You could have just gone the the shops and bought one.
