It does, would be interesting to see the generator/power setup.
5 minutes from Brandywell, 10 minutes from Barregarrow and 20 minutes from Ballaugh Bridge.
I went past it this year on my spin over the Druidale Road, not far from this picture.
Would be bleak in the winter but so peaceful and I’m not a Gaylord so it wouldn’t bother me….

The council tax payments would be more than most people's mortgage. And the heating and electric bill would be another mortgage. There'd be an army of staff there all the time cleaning and maintaining the place as well.

If I won £200 million on the lottery I wouldn't buy a place as big as that (well, I'd emigrate for a start). It would become your life. If you've got a big family, a herd of horses and half a billion in the bank I can see the attraction though.

Yes - nice spot. You'll get a bit of noise from the motorway, but for me that would be offset by the ease of it.

1 minute you're on the M6 - 5 minutes I could be at the office; it's straight on to some great riding roads.

The accommodation is set well up. Just need plenty of roof height in the boat house if keeping a boat.
The Lune floods upstream on the plane towards Hornby, and it has flooded Lancaster (low parts) about 5 years ago. But that stretch gets away with it - there’s quite a few nice houses along that stretch.

Nice. The three seperate lots bit would concern me. It looks to have more than one residential building and out buildings ripe for conversion. If the 2.3m price is for all the buildings and some of the land, that sounds pretty good. If it's the main house, the barns and a parcel of the land, at some point you're going to have neighbours right under your nose. That would need careful looking into.
If I was a cash buyer with a big budget I'd make a pre-auction cash offer for the lot.

When they bought it, it had damp, needed totally gutting and a new roof. They added the conservatory and the garages. They spent 2-3 times what the property cost on renovations.

They weren't rich - daft as that sounds looking at those, but the big one they bought when it had been empty for 4 years and needed doing up. We lived there about 11 or 12 years, then they sold that and bought the other one which was in a right mess, and they did it up and lived there about 12 years. That was their pension basically.

The other things they liked were cars. We only went on holiday twice...Scotchland, once for about 5 days and the other about 4. They both grew up in terraced houses outside of Manchester. I'm going the other way 🤣
