Set some more posts for my shed base. The top level is going to be decking and then a step down to a 10ft x 8ft log lap shed.
Decking is being delivered on Wednesday so I want at least the top deck ready with weed barrier in place.

Many many years ago mum painted two shields with the Stourton & Mowbry & Seagrave family crest. (Long story) Anyway decided to put them over the fireplace because they’ve been in various attics over the past 30+ years. I always wondered what one of the creatures was. A rampant beaver as it turns out

And as I’m now living just 10 miles from Stourton where I moved to when I was 15 it seemed appropriate

I just ordered a cardigan on line, and realised I haven't owned one for about 60 years.
Already, I'm avoiding shoes with laces (for slip-ons) and if I drop something on the floor, it stays there unless it's folding money.

My deck boards and joist hangers were delivered mid morning so I’ve had a busy afternoon.
Got the top deck boards done, it still needs trimming out but at least I can walk on it.

Grandsons Birthday today, 12 . Now both he and the grandaugher in my company are at ease, talkitive but respectfull. However at home on occasion and I fear it's because their parents run themselves ragged trying to give the kids a better life, the grandkids try on the usual teen age lip.
The grandson is a bit like his dad, a right grumpy Guinness when they first wake up but not very usefull when mum is trying to get them up and out for school. Apparently he gobbed off to far this morning and mum has told him that's it, I'm not working myself to the bone for you to treat me this badly. You can forget your brand new bike.
So here I sit with a brand new bike ready in the car to drop off, watching tv till mum gives me the call.
He is a bit of a Guinness at times so this was always going to happen sometimes soon. I'm now checking ebay to see how much never ridden new bikes go for

I remember MFI having a permanent 'SALE' when I was a kid. To the point, the sale flags outside were minging and torn to shreds, they had been up for years.
