The Midgie Masher Flypast 2007

I phoned the campsite today and there is no problem. They are building a couple of new wigwams/beehives in addition to the three which exist now, so there is space available - call them on 0845 1992 681. The chappie I spoke to confirmed that three wigwams were booked out to me (2) and Ranald for the night of the 25th August - 4 spaces in each.

Nice one. After a 500+ ride up Friday afternoon I don't want to be haggling for a bed. By the way do they have a chiropractitioner on site?! Bagsy first when we get there.

I've just booked BB on the campsite,apparently the owners have a house there.I've got a twin room all to myself but if anyone is stuck I'm willing to put a gap between the beds.The rule about noisy farty people still applies though (male or female)!!
 
YTC - when you riding up? Me and Sticky and the other two are hoping to leave arrygut about 2-ish. We could swing by your way and group up.

Thanks,I would appreciate the company.I was planning on riding somewhere near to the starting point on Friday afternoon and finding B and B. I'll email you near the time to swap numbers and arrange where we can meet without you coming to far out of your way

If you're in Kendal that's not really out of the way at all. We can kick off by doing Shap. Shame, I know, but someone has to! :D

The masher committee has now convened and the route has been selected.

If you have not done so, view the route and please add your name to the diary event HERE as we must get an accurate idea of the numbers wishing to attend in order to let our hosts know at the Pitlochry stop off.

How fars the Saturday start from Applecross? We have booked in there friday night thinking it was starting nearby.
 
Thanks, seems a bit pointless us heading there friday night then as we will have a 300 mile trip to meet the start saturday morning:confused: I will discuss with RJ

Yourself RJ and YTC are more than welcome to crash out at my place on the Friday and Sunday night if need be.So long as you don't mind roughing it a wee bit- sofa,sofa bed or floor.

Cheers, thats great, I'll talk to RJ. Another option for us is to make our own ride up to Applecross on saturday and then come out on the sunday ride which finishes at Glasgow. We can then blat home to North Yorks Sunday night. I need to be home for Monday...Family things and all that.

Now that we know the route ,my plan was to get b&b near the start
(ie Glasgow) on Friday and join the rest Saturday morning for the tootle to Applecross.What do think RJ and Sticky

I'll check with RJ, but it seems sensible to mouch up via Kendal (meet you) then to Neepdockers (take him up on his kind offer) Friday afternoon/ evening. Watch this space / give you a bell when we know what we are doing.

OK, we have decided to do our own ride up to Skye on the Saturday and meet DUN riders Saturday evening at Applecross. We'll then ride the Sunday route to Glasgow. Thanks for the offer Neepdocker and YTC if you fancy that let us know and we can meet up with you at Kendal early Saturday morning.

don't you mean Friday afetrnoon? - FFS this is getting confusing.

As far as I have understood it we have one wigwam booked, sleeps four, me and Sticky in it so far, for Friday and Saturday and we are riding up with YTC Friday afternoon. He may use the wigwam with us Friday. (and possibly Saturday?) BiscuitandPotato is making his way up to Scotland Friday (with us) but going to sleep with Davie. I dare not ask........ Then riding up to Applecross Saturday with youse lot. Sleeping with us Saturday - he will have fallen out with Davie by then. I am organising a ride for us Saturday and we'll meet you all Saturday evening. Sunday we will all do MMasher Part Deux back to Glasgae for tea and biscuits, then meander our own sweet ways home.
