7 years old working at the farm and serious morning /evening/weekend working from 11 or 12... £35-40 a week in 1978, depending on the season.... my basic wage when leaving college was £28 / week... quickly got it to plus £75 with overtime/role changes.

No excuse for any f'ecker to not be working around here... posters advertising no experience jobs everywhere... basic wage is £25k don't forget.
