My Harley actually handled very well. But it had mids, not forwards, which combined with a low seat and a reach to the bars was murder on the back. Ground clearance wasn't the best but it still offered enough to ride to the edge of the tyre. That all makes sense.. I know the diavel handle pretty fucken good for a big bruiser, I've had a few ride outs with em. I've only ever riden Harleys with
forward controls and the lack of ground clearance was just part and parcel I guess..
The problem with most Harleys is they tend to be far too softly sprung because that's how the American market seems to like it. Mine lacked damping, especially rebound. With a longer and adjustable after-market rear shock and a fork cartridge kit it would have been very good.
The Diavel will be in a different league. It's an S with fully adjustable Ohlins front and rear and while it's longer than a Multistrada or a Monster, it's nowhere near as long or as raked as a real cruiser and has the seat height of a normal roadster. The X-Diavel is longer, lower and more raked. I would say it's a proper cruiser. The 1260 is a regular naked roadster just with muscle bike clothes.
