Those that have met me know I normally smile, or am quiet with an occasional 'craic' !

I am also an habitual 'Post Whore' and alot of people know what is going on with my life most of the time through various message boards, I have my moments though !

One I have kept a bit secret though and hope it is still nothing but I will keep you posted.

Bit scared at the moment, after many NHS feck ups I have got two referals through this week, first one is on Friday at the Macmillan unit ( That scares the life out of me for a start  ) in Lancaster, next one is at Hope in Manchester, early May.

So I will be there on Sunday, nothing to worry about I hope but I want to share my experience with my mates on here.

I am not after attention or sympathy, I just like sharing things, not many 'real life' mates know whats going on as I lock myself away down here most of the time so its you lot that will have the pleasure of my ramblings.

Hope you don't mind !

All positive thoughts please :D

Ian,

Whatever you are being seen for on Friday, I sincerely hope eveything goes exactly as you want.

Seeing as it's a MacMillan unit, I can only guess this is not something of a trivial nature.

Good luck, we'll be thinking about you - you must give us a call on Saturday night so we can pass the phone around.

Cheers!

Just more tests and a course of action I hope, a bit scary Mary but chin is up, at least I get out of a Sales meeting on Friday !

No doubt needles will be involved which I am none to chuffed about but hey-ho, these things need to be done !

It will be another waiting game I would say so will not know much on Friday, just more stress, never mind, its nearly Summer !

Best of luck Ian. I'm sure if the doctors thought it was major problems you'd have an appointment before May. Let us know how you get on x

Thanks Linz, seemingly they 'couldn't get hold of me' even though I have been giving the doc some grief about what is going on, funny thing is I wanted to go private but they said there was no need, now I have to get in quick like !

Ah ya big girl!!!! ;)

Seriously though mate, keep your chin up you've got plenty of mates on here to keep you smiling... and I still need to see those whiter than white wheels

Jon you will see them, don't worry, they may be a bit dirty though, it wouldn't be mine if it wasn't mucky ;)

just remember mate that most people that get sent for referrals walk away with nothing worse than a fright and some sore bits from doctors poking and prodding, they just like to check up on anything that looks a wee bit odd to them then somebody who really knows has a look and says bugger all wrong there.youll come out of it fine, just keep up the happy attitude thats better than medicine:comp2:

Chin up Ian, and take some change with you for Hope - car park charging, donchya lurve it. Kind of a captive audience really.

Same as round here Alan, doing what I do I always have tons of 'car parking' monies though !

If the weather is alright I was going to go down to Lancaster on the bike, if I remember rightly there is a big paved area outside MacMillan, so I might just be cheeky + it will make it harder for them to stick needles in me if I have my leathers on ;)

Ian,

Given that they may be doing all sorts to you tomorrow - it might be best to get a lift down?

Hope all goes well mate - do give us an update tomorrow!

I will keep you informed, not just sure what they are going to do to me though, had a call from my GP today wishing me luck WTF ???

Anyway I asked her what she thought they would be doing and she said probably just full bloods, so I don't know ???

I would love to go on my bike though, bloody Friday off work, gotta take advantage !

I doubt they will do anything that will deem me unable to ride, will they ???

Dunno mate :dunno:

Depends how much blood they take I suppose?

You don't wanna feel crook on the bike after whatever tests you are subjected to, that was my concern mate.

Cheers!

I know fella, just wanna take advantage of a day off :D its lashing down again here anyway so I doubt it will happen, Mondeo it is then !

It's supposed to be dry here tomorrow - was gonna take the panzer to work and have an early day!

But I'm choked full :( so best to stick to the cage for another day

Hope everything goes OK Ian, if your still around at tea-time and in need of a brew give me a call !!

I may just not tell 'em, would love to see the x-rated x-ray ;)

all I'll say is remove anything metal from your bod if you're going for a CT scan - otherwise the big magnetic doughnut will rip it....

I know this because it made my tattoo bleed when they scanned my knee!:hissy:
