Ducati Monster 750 box o bits

I have a video of the bike with just the reverse cones and then after with the carbon caps but when I loaded it onto the computer from the camera the sony software had been removed, when I tried to re-install the software it keeps on coming up with an error code 0x80040702. been in touch with sony but nothing resolved yet tried using roxio but no joy.:confused:
 
With the "silencers" fitted it still sounds different and still has a great sound as the revs rise.

But if I could get away with version 1 (if it isn't ridiculously loud on the road) I would be going down that route.

If cans can be added quickly to suit circumstances then maybe both? :)

Without the cans it is ear splitting, I dont mind loud bikes if the note is correct but it is a wee well big bit on the rediculous side. I may make another set at some point and reduce the outlet to 60 or 50mm instead of 75mm that way I can get more wadding in the main cone.
 
Just played version 1 again with the volume turned up full this time!
May have to save this somewhere to play to myself on a regular basis. Thanks!

That is going to the old dick vet place at the Medows in Edinburgh "Barneys beer" he is renting a place out at Falkirk at the moment just finished it off today hopefully getting uplifted on Monday then pipe up in May. p.s. you are always looking in the background! :)

It was a bit of a dog. Yes it is an LED I got mine on fleabay but came from China £26 delivered to the door took just over two weeks. Only issue I have (well probably the MOT station) is when the lights are on and you use the indicator the rear light goes out, it is not a bad earth which I know can give this symtom I think that is how they work in the States so may not be eligable for here. If that is the case I will disconnect the wires and remove the front indicators.

As a craft brewer who was almost involved in starting a new brewery last year, and it might still happen yet, I couldn't help noticing ;)

Well if you are looking for any tanks modifyed give me a shout anything upto 20 BBL i thought I had a seam for 5 BBL tanks I knew where there were around 120 of them but the theving gets lifted them all, it must have took them a couple of weeks to do. I also do a nice DPV to save on space

I have been designing one that is all contained in a stainless frame with a mid shelf that will fit nicely into the back of a car garage.

I think your right. There's a Bandit parks up near were I work and it has the indicators wired up like that - it's sort of the opposite of what you'd expect, if makes sense.

I thought indicators were compulsory on bikes registered after 1994 - unless it's "daytime" MOT and there's no lights at all.
 
I have never owned a bike newer that 1994 untill now, so would not know come to think of it I have not had a bike on the road since 1994 got involved in sidecar racing and that settled my craving apart from the occasional "trip man" ;)
 
No indicators on the project and when MOT'd in a couple of weeks I'll find out then!:lol2: (don't think there is a requirement to have. Just that if there is they must work ok and not show any white light. )

From the MOT Tester's Manual -
1.5 Direction Indicators

This inspection applies to: all machines except those which either have no front or rear position lamps or have such lamps permanently disconnected, painted over or masked that are:
. only used during daylight hours, and
. not used at times of seriously reduced visibility

If this situation occurs the machine presenter should be issued with a VT32 (advisory notice) recording the above.

Exemptions
If direction indicators are fitted they must meet the requirements of this inspection, but need not be fitted to a machine which:
. cannot exceed 30mph / 50kph, or
. was first used before 1 August 1986, or
. 'off road' machines which are designed to carry only the rider.
. 'off road' machines with side car designed to carry the rider and one passenger in the side car.

So technically, if a bike is registered after 1st Aug 1986 it must have indicators unless it has no lights at all.
 
Are the wee plastic baffle box things shape critical or could something be improvised ? I don't have one on my SS .
 
only if the indicators are fitted. i've always taken the indicators off my bikes and at MOT time tape over the switch with insulation tape. If they are fitted they have to work.
