What the feck have you done today?

Just got back from peach guitars as I needed some new strings for the D16 couldn’t stay too long as dog doesn’t like being on his own and he was sat in the drivers seat with the window partially down and the car alarm going off 😂
He’s nuts so took him to the seaside on way back and he had a swim.
Gonna have a couple of hours on the guitar this afternoon after restringing and finish learning a few songs I’ve got in my head.
I’ve reached a junction in life where im not sure I want to continue with the career I chose as it’s seems the industry im in is full of wankers who have become amoeba like and I’m not sure that’s me as I have a fire burning in my belly and I don’t want that to go out. Or the fire could
Just be my Crohn’s disease 😂

If you like the job but the people get on your nerves, can you go independent ?

Trust your gut feeling (the instinct not your Crohns disease...). Most decisions can be reversed it they don't work out but nagging regret over what might have been never goes away. Fortune favours the brave.
I just don’t feel that I’ve found my place in the world and am also prone to telling people exactly what I think which is not how they like it at work but I don’t want to change to
Suit them xx

After a string free period of 40 odd years once more the sound flows through the house, my gorgeous wife played the violin from age 4/5 till 15, then never touched one again, switched to the piano,
Her father in the picture was an international violin player and music teacher, mastering so many instruments, my wife’s mother a classical ballet dancer traveling the world,
Now she has decided to see if she would like to play again, it’s amazing that after all these years stuff just comes back to her🥰

I think that’s beautiful that she has returned to the strings and you are a very lucky man to have that music in your life and household as its
A great mood changer and to me personally it only brings joy and enlightenment in this ever darkening world we live in xx enjoy

Whatever you do try to go freelance, you don't have to worry about hierarchy, appraisals or office politic shit, just do your job until you don't like it and then just fuck off somewhere else. Nuclear skills are transferable to any energy industry - oil and gas still pay the best even when Millbrain is trying to shut it down 👍

Best thing I ever did for all the reason you list.

Off they would trot to the team meeting while I had myself another coffee.
Even when I ended up in a shit contract I knew that in six months I could bugger off and find work elsewhere.
I definately was more chill.

Even told one of the big managers to stick the job up is arse once, and it didn't affect any work after that.

I worked in UNIX servers/networks and stuff at the time.

I have CCNSG and have thought about other industries but don’t want loads of travel.
My godfather who lives here has suggested I become a civil engineer and work with him doing the office based planning and I could take dog with me 🤔

Melancholy wayne!! Need to get up and out to stop that rot setting in x
I need some bike time, it does effect my mental health!! I keep hearing my 996 calling me. Just had a chat with my Italian adopted family, i'm hoping to ride down there again at some point, not seen them since the covid bollox. The year that happened i had booked everything to go over and see there new baby boy. He is now nearly 8. 🤷‍♂️ We do talk on faceache messenger and he sends me little vids of him, he calls him the lithium battery, he's called Maximilian, how Italian is that!!:)
