I was just curious!
Today I decided on a short ride up the coast to Flamborough to locate a little supplier of shellfish
But first I stopped at Bracey bridge for a bacon and egg butty and a cup of tea
After locating said premisses I continued on to Flamborough lighthouse and sunbathed on a bench watching the seabirds and keeping an eye out for the dolphins and whales that are becoming regular visitors

Today i went for a late spin on the Enfield to the garage next to Loomies for fuel. They had no E5 so had to use bloody E10, after about 2 minutes the bike starts to splutter and doesn't tick over properly! I hate that shit but i had no choice as i was on reservs, there's a defanate power loss with that shit aswell.
I only put a fiver in it, it wont take long to burn that off!!

Today i rode down to Sammy Millers for Italian day, loads of Italian exotica too drool over. Really nice day today so after Sammys i rode out to Loomies but never went in as it was stupid busy in there so decided to go for a nice ride out Salisbury way then home.
I had one of these back in the day.

Yesterday I rode to the Baa T-Room just outside Leighton Buzzard. It`s a licenced tea room on a working farm with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as a farm shop. The bacon ,eggs and sausages were delicious, the staff really friendly and welcoming. I didn`t take any pics as I suspect many of you know what bacon, eggs and sausages looks like and I thought I`d just link their website to my post only to discover much later they don`t have a website. I don`t do Facebook but I`m sure if you search for Baa Leighton Buzzard plenty of pics and info will be there.
I went with a mate who recently bought the latest 950 V2 Multi and it`s now run in so I had a proper go on it. What a nice bike to ride, everything is easy, the ride is firm but supple, it feels well made, it`s quite a bit lighter than the previous 950 and it has more than enough oomph for me. Well worth a go if you can cope without the occasionally insane performance of the Multi 1200/1260/V4.
If I was looking to buy a new bike it would be on a short list of just 2 with the Guzzi Mandello being the other.

Following on from the posts a couple of weeks ago where I mentioned I`d added approx 2.5% 103Ron fuel to the tank of my old Monster I`ve now used a couple of tanks full which I appreciate is not exhaustive testing but so far as well as the much improved performance I already mentioned I`m also getting much better mpg. Usually the low fuel warning light comes on at around 130-140 miles which = 46-50mpg. Now I`m getting to 160-165 so close to 60mpg. I may try upping the % to 5 next time to see how it goes , I`ll probably never have to refill it ever again !Last week I bought some of this :-

Yesterday I popped out on the old Monster with a mix of approximately 2.5% of the new 103ron petrol and 97.5% standard E5 99ron. It`s a 2005 bike with the 2 valve 992cc air cooled engine and at low rpm it has always been very bad mannered with lots of spluttering and spitting before smoothing out into a lovely muscular power band up to around 7500rpm but this small addition of better petrol really made a big difference and it was positively pleasant yesterday between 2000-3000rpm and absolutely delicious from there up and away. I`m looking forward to trying it in my 2011 Multi 1200 although with a more modern engine I`ll be surprised if the improvement is as noticeable.
It`s not cheap fuel @ £40 + vat for 10 litres but I think 10 litres used at a 2.5% mix should cover around 6500-7500 miles so not a substantial cost and an absolute bargain for the improved usability on the road.
I`ve not tried any in my 1200 Multi yet as I`ve not been using that but will do probably next week.
Took the RSV4 out last night for a test ride, after fitting the Domino and the throttle lock. Nailed it off of a roundabout....starting fiddling with the throttle lock and didnt see the 2x unmarked blacked out XC90's with blue lights going behind me...only saw the initial one first (thinking i was fucked as it was unmarked) then pulled over to see the 2nd one...they then took off with a lad following in a Fiesta ST....quick stab of the brakes from the rear XC90 and he backed off...waited for them to disappear...nailed it again and then there was a 3rd behind me....let him go past and thought id pushed it enough for the day... gonna get a throttle lock for the zed as thats the only other bike id do any distance on....very happy.
Today i've been out on the Enfield around Wiltshire just plodding about and getting pissed off at people tailgating me!! Had some prick right up my arse at one point in a camper in a 40mph zone, turned round and showed him my disgust and he backed off, wanker!! Been out most of the day enjoying the weather while we have it.

Forecast is for heavy rain today but the rain radar showed it boiling off the north cape and not getting any closer. So I decided to go for a quick ride, slightly earlier than usual and just by myself so I would not be hampered. First stop was at Matapouri beach estuary, then beach, which is one of NZ’s almost perfect beaches. Safe, sunny, occasional surf and beautiful clean sand. Shame it was packed! Then on to Sandy Bay which is a surf beach sometimes used for competitions and overall a beautiful place to be. Then ride 14 km to cadge acuppatea from @Chizel - Founding Father
And jolly good it was to see ya! Shame I had to kick you out!!! We is in auckland now.
