Yeh, evidently these are supposed to be very reliable (according to Cradley Heath Kawasaki) and the new gizmo ones not (according to 2 Dyno Tuners I know), so stuck with it.....Back in the day my mate lent me his Z750 for a week as he went to Thailand, after one day going out on it the fucking IC Ignitor packed up, fun over FFS!! It's probably with the 10mm spanner taking the piss, fuckers!!Today instead of doing last months accounts as planned I decided to make the speed sensor bracket.
First I had to fill in the counter sunk holes on the fork bottom.
I fixed 4 stainless washers into the drill and span them against my power file to whittle the OD down so they were a 0.1mm clearance fit. I did 4 due to the shoulder on the bolt so the nut would tighten fully so I have 2 spares now

Then I whittled the bracket out of 3mm aluminium so it was well sturdy.

Now I need some 7mm spanners to tighten the sensor nuts, sure I had one at least but can't find it anywhere

NoIs that a bit wonky?

Nothing. He asked if it was a bit wonky (like Rob's wall sockets) but when he asked it wasn't - try clicking and dragging your mouse just below the last picture for a message I left for Mr Predictable as he is somewhat predictableWhat's the difference between wonky & pre-straightened? In layman's terms, please if such is possible.
I don't know any Mr Predictable. Am I missing out?Nothing. He asked if it was a bit wonky (like Rob's wall sockets) but when he asked it wasn't - try clicking and dragging your mouse just below the last picture for a message I left for Mr Predictable as he is somewhat predictable![]()

Can you clarify - in the picture, is that mounting point wonky or pre-straightened? Or both? And did you use a mouse to straighten it (assuming it's now straight?)
Thanks!
Coming along nicely chap. When's the first DuCom meet up so we can all have a ride?
Sooooo, finished my 6 weeks or so of wimmins duties so I'm free again
Spent the afternoon chewing with fuel hose fitment using PTFE stainless braided hose with a nylon weave outer.
Cut using tape and a slicing disc on the angle grinder.
I used a bit of heavy duty bonded heat shrink to stop the ends fraying and fitted some lovely quick release hose couplings from this rather wonderful emporium:
