Kawasaki KR1000 Endurance Replica

Double-speak and qualified accounting of time has debunked this story already.

The count starts when you want it to start, not when the work starts. We've already established this.

For instance, I have never in my life been married, not once, but I'm only counting from 2013.
Which makes me ten years old ... so back off, groomer.

You’ve been talking to Exige too much. 😂

Oh, I see where you have made your error - Started the build on June 7th 2022 as you can see on the link. You seem to be talking about a few weeks here and there over the last few years where I have been manufacturing all the component parts form scratch In fact the last year has also included scratch building many parts so I guess we could say it's only really about 6 months on and off over the last year - it's a bit different to what most people call building a bike by buying a few bits of tat and sticking them on you know ;)

Maybe you should count from when you first start the engine?

Or maybe your first test ride?

Yeah, first test ride. Quickest build from scratch, ever! :)

Postman came today with gifts - did a quick head-scratch of where to mount them and determined I need to move the plate back a little to clear the curvature of the seat unit. I will remake it using the same mounting points and extend it rearward towards the battery box...

Just been in the garage to ponder fitting my ignition switch and was going to see what shape bracket was needed to fit to the back of the two coil mount bolts - but realised all I had to do was remove the front spacer that allows the coil body to clear the tank and replace it with the ignition mounting lug 🤷‍♂️ feckin' amazing result 🥳

Are we there yet? 🤣.

Yes, this is the second KR1000 Exige said he was putting together, all those years back.
The only reason I ask is because I was thinking I’ll probably need new tyres on my bike again soon, that will be the 3rd set and I have the same tyres as Exi has put on, Dunlop Mutants, and I was thinking his will be so old soon they’ll have gone hard and brittle and I was thinking he’ll have to buy some more if he’s not careful.

You get a lot of time to think in 9hrs on a bike 🤣

They have tubeless tyres these days. Radials. Dead clever.

Give Bridgestone BT-023s a go, got them on my 900ie and done 2K miles on them and they have no indication of wear yet, fucking great tyres that you can get stupid lean angles on once you get some heat into them, i'm sold!!

Late 2022 date stamps, I've got 6 years yet and that's if they are in sunlight so should be OK

I’ll be getting Mutants again 👍, fantastic grip both wet and dry and I like the tread pattern, it suits an adventure bike, plus that blocky tread helps on the shitty road surfaces in rural Ireland.

In fact they are so good, grip wise, it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest that once @Exige trys them out on his Kwacker that he decides to put them on the Bimota when those tyres need changing.
