Insulate Britain

Quick question... does anyone have a pet Cobra or Black Mamba I could borrow....
I used to have the latter, but she was too scary  in fact if they had held her up she would have ripped their heads off and left their torso's glued to the floor 👀

Didnt know you wore glasses dude...

All the publicity and exposure this gets...you know it's set up. Part of the climate nonsense.

I believe they have spokesmen on all the usual TV shows etc.

c.1m people marched through London against covid restrictions, and it was played down...the BBC claiming 'hundreds of people gathered'.

Anything that get's this much exposure, is set up by the usual suspects.

What is their actual point - do they expect the government to magic money up and add retrospective insulation to every dwelling that requires it? Surely it is up to the house owner to make improvements (some of them are councils granted). The government already legislate for modern insulation standards on new builds/renovations - making that retrospective is nonsense, they provide grants to upgrade (won't cover the full cost but what do you expect) they are pandering to the nonsense by saying sales of gas boilers will be banned as well as non-electric cars but there is no current alternative? Heat pumps are a great smoke and mirrors trick but in reality we don't have the electricity supply (especially from green sources - which is another discussion) to power them. Hydrogen is a joke for heating homes and anybody who thinks otherwise doesn't understand physics (or safety) let alone the cost of producing hydrogen (green hydrogen ha ha).

Surely government should be educating the populace to understand what the issues are instead of letting these nutters run amok spreading their ill informed nonsense - oh yeah, government and education

I don't think they have a point to be honest, I think it's just part of a paid disruption campaign. Some of them don't even have insulated houses, some have diesel cars and most don't live in the areas they protest but drive many miles to join the protest whilst complaining about cars?

I may work in oil and gas and therefore be considered biased but there is currently no viable alternative to remove ourselves from oil and gas - if we could it's not just the fuel for energy that's the issue it's all the products that are produced from the raw materials that have no current alternative.

It's all energy at the end of the day and in terms of cost to produce energy there is nothing cheaper - if you consider the actual energy contained in 1 barrel of oil (approx. 22,000 manhours) which today costs approx. $80 it may put other sources of energy into perspective.

Buckle up for an expensive ride - if you think your home energy and petrol/diesel costs are high in todays world be afraid....... 👀

It is very much stupidity that is driving the whole thing. Stupidity fuelled by press and TV.

An easier way would have been to allow company vehicles to remain diesel and private vehicles to be petrol before moving onto hybrids

And, dare I say, a government who are happy to allow 'divide and conquer' to prevail (not just the current government)

To be honest I think it's much simpler than that. The car industries are flattening out as people have less money for new, so to create more money, they need a new market, ala electric.

Think corgi registered and then gas safe as an example or iphone 13 after iphone 12

Still government are happy to allow the misinformation, these twats are elected by us to run the country for our benefit which they very obviously don't do

As much as I luv yer (in a manly way) I hope they get the government to stump up for insulation.
I could do with £20 large to help with my external wall insulation project.

Corgi lost it's Gas safety registration back in 2009 ...... you've missed at least one decade somewhere...
Get with the 2020's Noobie... :LOL::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The Gubmint should get Sadiq Khan involved with the home insulation issue

He can charge £12.50 for everday your home isn't insulated to a required standard.

I'm surprised he hasn't thought about a protest tax against protesters for impacting on his Congestion charge.
