Wish I could hit the like and agree emoji, at the same time for this one.

At least he has the advantage of having the auld hand around, to show him the ropes and bring him on 👍

I tried but he's done his theory test 40 out of 40 and hes done his homework on what he needs to do so I cant be an asshole hypocrite as hes watched his dad ride motorcycles his whole life 🤔
I agree, they make their own decisions in life, but whenever the subject comes up, I will give them my honest opinion, it’s the best I can do, and I am sure they learn a lot from you, I cycle every day to work and I have a near miss at least once a week, often more, people in cars are complete dickheads when it comes to people on two wheels🥲

There was a long term study i read somewhere and the conclusion was drivers are at least 74% to blame for bike crashes.🤷‍♂️

He'll be fine. Let him go and it'll be the making of him. Good lad.

My parents never rode motorbikes and didn't appear to have any qualms about me and my four siblings all riding motorbikes at some stage. I wonder if they would have been more apprehensive if they had ridden bike themselves? Both my children ride and I don't lose any sleep over it. Though they would have been in their thirties when they took their tests, thus a little more mature.

It’s natural to worry, but like your lad, mine are less ‘skitz’ than their old man. Which should stand them in good stead.

Good on him - most enjoyable activities come with a level of risk 👍

He’s sat on the panzer , I don’t know about helping him get a license @The skitz should be getting him therapy
He will need something more age appropriate 😉 he starts work in the city centre next September so needs to be able to commute on it also .. it could take him 2>3 hours each way on public transport the bike would be 40 mins tops thats his passat also but a car is a no no in Dublin city.. hes not ready for something so special as a GS 😂

Give him the katoom 😜😁

No hole fo me bud I want the fire .. I hate cemeteries 😂

I want to go out like Hunter S Thompson but working cannons are difficult to find in the U.K. and I'd be on a budget, so my ashes should be secured to a rocket firework and light the fuse.

Please don't let exi do it as his bimota sense of direction would see him turn the rocket upside down and my ashes would end up in the sea just South of New Zealand

I reckon it would good to be stuffed and put on display, like Vivien Stanshall's Sir Henry Rawlinson of Rawlinson End: "shove a flex up my back passage, stick a lightbulb in my mouth and stand me in the hall."
It would certainly be a talking point.

Give me a shout nearer the time and I'll see what I can come up with.

Cut down a roadside sign and use the metal pole. Block one end, throw a couple of rook scarers in and stuff the ashes down on top then clap the plastic cap back on and point at the sky. Spent much of my teenage years doing this and it should work a treat for your mortal remains.
Obviously you'll need help as you won't be able to do this yourself....
