The Manx people are allowed to earn a certain amount tax free from homestay during the TT, Manx etc. I can’t remember how much, @Markduc may know.
A lot of them don’t once they have regular visitors.And after £2k tax is only 10% anyway, why worry
Registration includes insurance plus if a property is homestay registered it is of a decent quality.
A doer upper for @JAT where he could set up basic shelter for 50 people in the Barn and Stables for the TT and Manx and only have to have 3 or 4 weeks of bookings
Shame there's no power though and it needs a weekend or two's work
