But still some good news

The average five-year fixed mortgage rate is now 4.61%, compared with 6.11% at the peak in July 2023.

Across Great Britain, the number of sales agreed is now 6% ahead of the same period last year. However, this trend is more prominent in some areas than others.

In Wales, the number of sales being agreed is 15% higher than at this time last year, whereas in London the figure is just 1% higher.

May’s sales hotspot is Heywood in Manchester, with the number of buyers agreeing a deal to purchase a home there nearly double (+88%) the level of this time last year.

Second on the list of hotspots is Pudsey in West Yorkshire (+85%) and third on the list is Wilmslow in Cheshire (+66%).

I have a soft spot for Wilmslow, the owner of 'Strattons of Wilmslow' bought a Ferrari 288 GTO and drove it back from Maranello (with some journo) and reading the article was my intro to the 288 GTO in 1985. I managed to visit Strattons of Wilmslow one December evening in 1989 but the GTO wasn't visible in the window 🤣

My parents bought a new Mondial QV from Strattons - bought it in Jun '84 but didn't register it until 01 Aug to get the new 'B' reg - it was B960OVU

I used to call in when I got my licence and was in the area so I could sit in the cars. It was Ferrari and Rolls / Bentley showroom at the time.

They once had a Lambo Countach in the showroom and while I was sitting in it, the salesman Chris was saying "you can drive that all year and not see another one" - just then and identicle one drove past the showroom - BR33 reg, quite famous at the time because it had been on the front of Car Magazine.

I remember that Car article with the 288 GTO coming back from the factory well...I think the same magazine had an article about a red Mondial driving to a rainy Scotland

I think it may have been a different mag, mine had the new ford scorpio and a shoot out between series 1 RS turbo and mk1 MR2 👍

Car Magazine defo drove the 288 back with Ron Stratton - I may be wrong that the Mondial ti Scotland article was in the same one though

Not over priced though for the location.
There are properties just down the road from me going for 1.5m that are nowhere near as nice as that and certainly not got the location.
 
It's also got within the basement, storage for several cars, the floor plan diagram measures it out.

No access for cars there by the looks of it - and it won't look so big in real life looking at how much the photo distorts the pool table 👀

Service charge nearly £8k a year - nice though...

Shut it you Gaylordshittastecunt - look at the Estate Agents drawing - only small doors and it must be accurate, otherwise they would have said garage and not storage 👀
