Very nice, what brand is the chassis and engine? Auto gearbox ? Have you driven it with snow chains lol, fitted internal gas tanks ? If so can you fill up with LPG at petrol stations?
What motorhome do you have and what would you recommend buying for a 2 year tour around Europe ? ( for starters )

Ahhh Astra 2 for sir? Basically it’s a mobile pornography cinema with retractable dishExcuse me sir but the automatic sat system retracts when I start the engine so sir doesn't forget its there before moving off when I stop anywhere in Europe it seeks out astra 2 automatically
It's a burstner, German built
Chassis is fiat ducato cab mated to an al-ko body with the tag axle,
I use refillable gas bottles so different countries are not a problem
It's a fiat so I was told to stay away from the auto back then, the van itself has never had a single issue it's the 3.0 jtd engine and pulls 150 kmh handy as it's low profile I got 3 points for doing 142kmh and the garda was baffled when he seen me on his radar but a great camper in general

Things worth considering - what layout do you need / want. bed , do you want to climb up to bed from drop down roof style or permanent divan. load capacity is important, especially if using full time and evokes. garage size, battery capacity + what size solar panel. If travelling Europe mostly would a lhd one help?

We traded up from a campervan with folding roof to a 7.5m burstner motorhome a couple of years ago. Not as big / nice as the skitzs - that’s a proper piece of kit - but we love it , great for weekend away, summer and winter holidays for us and the kids.
normally a good few motorhome shows on during the year to go take a good look at them. Worth considering hiring and doing some smaller trips first to see what does / doesn’t work for you before committing.

I find the bigger tag axle very handy the big 7.5 campers with the single axle at the back are dicey as the swing is crazy often 6-8 feet behind the rear wheels so need to be careful pulling out into traffic and parking ! These are much better motorhomes for family's much better space usage I got my c licence as I needed to tow a trailer so just went for a bigger class so I was covered for the camper too, I've also a boat licence up to 70 meters but that's a different story 
Yes rear camera and sensors and the marker lights are a gift too, my van has flat sides all the way to the back so easy to judge most campers the cab is a lot narrow than the living area!
Thanks for the tips, list is growing lol, Lhd it will be, easier as we will be in mainland Europe most if not all of the time, solar panels for sure, want auto box, no Manual gears for me, manoeuvring is just practice lol, as long as you have reference points in your mirrors, you can get it anywhere, and keep a cool head, take your time , a reversing camera with a reference line in the screen helps to park very close to obstaclesLots of options out there. That’s so true re the swing and parking. Bit of t cut and it was right as rain. as no one saw me do it, technically it didn’t happen but lesson learned early on. Hahahaha. We added semi air suspension on the back which made the ride really stable and allowed a weight uplift.
There’s probably more space in your motorhome than my first flat - and it didn’t have satellite!!!! Hahahaha.

Not a serious contender unless you want to cross eastern russia , but these guys are very nice. I turned up there one saturday for a nosey with a couple of my boys, and the guy saw us and insisted on giving us a full tour. Had some great versions in there.
No its not on air I've toyed a few times with getting air fitted I'd say it would add a little comfort but the AL-KO chassis is not bad as standard! It's mad some of the campers I've seen wander around Europe ancient stuff but people happy and content to just wander
You don’t , As long as it is not commercial you don’t need a tacho, when I moved myself , I hired a 26 tonne lorry and didn’t use my digi card, when stopped they will get nervous though, you have to be able to proof that it is not commercial
No its why I got a C1 license as you can use it non professionally, any bigger I need a cpc to keep the licence valid

My understanding on the 7.5 tonne vehicles entitlements was many of us will have got it automatically under the period when it was covered under the old entitlements from many years ago, Pre 1997?
Some years later there was a change that said if you still have that 7.5 tonne entitlement then you can drive the 7.5 tonne for personal use such as hiring a 7.5 tonne for your own home removals, horsebox etc but if it is business/trade/employment use then you need to have a cpc course and use the digi card (digital tachograph).
That's how I remember it but I maybe off on that so worth checking what size camper you are going after and if your licence covers it

Yes similar leeds hymer is a sister company to burstner I went with my one because they are more modern inside my interior is all cream alcantara and leather hymer is a bit more traditional
This is what I just did the AC on last week.... then met the Snap-On van.
Amazing camper, cost my guy £35K. Previous owner desperately needed the cash to keep his business going.
A friend of my brothers had a professional body on a fiat.
Cost £75k new, he paid £45K a few years later. Again I was working on the main vehicle AC and thought just a fiat..... did my magic under the bonnet then went inside and was amazed.... like a Sunseeker Yacht inside. Him and his missus lived all over Europe in for at least 2 or 3 years... eventually she was wanted a house again, so he's back in the UK. I thought they had sold up, but no... luckily they had just rented out there home and used the money to pay for the van payments..... he was working doing river dredging, so always had a nice spot and a hook up free.
At the moment here in Ireland all the campers have gone up in price people trying to buy them in case no foreign travel this summer!

Yip all the guys out there running a business which involve an ordinary pick up truck pulling a trailer are on the wrong side of the law, they should use a tacho ! I know some people who where fined heavily.
