What have you done on your bike today?

Laptop, is it a chromebook, windows or a mac? apparently they all need a waterproof keyboard cover for some users :D
Window 11, it's an ACER laptop, the last one i had lasted well over 2 years and that was a crap one!! The last one was an HP cheap thing, it bearly lasted a year, the new one is quite expensive and has some great reviews if there true but i'm happy with it, 15.6" screen and 1080 HD. :)

The reconditioned Panasonic toughbook that bob the bounder put me onto has been faultless and I’m sure it will survive a nuclear war if we ever have one!

Went to the ‘Tilbridge Tastery’ for eggs on toast, popped into Lincoln

Lincoln Cathedral is something else isn’t it.

Could we build anything like that now?
Of course we could. We probably won’t.
Nope, not only the lacking of skill but the cost would be insane and health and safety, planning permision etc...........................!!:ROFLMAO:
Also, not enough guinesses tithing to their overlords.
Only if it was a mosque
Prob much more likely
The cathedral was severely damaged in an earthquake in 1185.

It took over from the great pyramids as the tallest building in the world, when they added a spire in the 1300’s, it burnt down.
It is gods will.
Amen

Sold my bike! To…….@Laava!
He is coming down to pick it up tomorrow and stay overnight before riding it home on Sunday! Hope I can keep my hands to myself!
I have already replaced it with a CFMoto 450mt which is turning out to be, for me, a better bike. Lighter and lower to the ground for a start because of the seat. The desert X just does not have the ability to be that low without compromise. Only things it is missing is cruise control and about 60hp! The after market gear available is amazing and cheap too in comparison. I have already ordered full luggage and crash bars plus I am considering a better screen but am aware that a screen might work for one person and not for another.
Am also thinking about maybe a Ducati 797 monster. Only cos I saw one and it looked and sounded great! And, well, 2 bikes right?

Got pulled by the cops.

I was heading back to town because where I was in the hills you could see rain coming.

Next thing the blue lights were on - he must’ve been on an adjoining road…mad at myself for not noticing it.

The usual smart arse comments like “Speedo not working?”, then a long look at my plate and the end can. Checked my address and said “you’re brave keeping a bike in town with all the thefts”. I bit my tongue at this point.

Good job I did because he said “just keep your speed down - under section 59 we can sieze vehicles now being ridden antisocialy”. And that was it 😁

Thinking about it, he mustn’t have recorded my speed if he just saw me go past before joining the road.

The section 59 is out of the book of communism which this country has now become under labour!! They have to go they have brought this country to it's knees and then some!!
Glad to hear you got away with it(y), when out at Loomies way West Meon the pigs are hot on number plate size and speeding!! Imo it's the fucking willy waving fuckwits on bikes that have caused this, Newton's third law of motion in real time. It's such a nice ride out there but i'm always aware of riding in a normal() way.

Not today, but last week, I had a trip to the Picos in a group of 17.

Took a ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao. 5 days riding in the Picos and a return ferry from Santander to Portsmouth.

Did it all on Helga II, and she never missed a beat, as I expected. Great roads, some inclement weather and a bit of rain, but dry in the most part.

If you get the chance, I can highly recommend it.

Looks like a great trip rob .how long is the ferry from Portsmouth out of curiosity?

IIRC, these were the times.

There is a slight difference Portsmouth to Bilbao as there are 2 nights on the ferry. We sailed around 7.30pm on a Thursday and getting off at 8am Saturday. You obviously lose an hour with Spain being +1hr ahead

Santander to Portsmouth, you get on the boat earlier in the day, around 2pm on the Wednesday, and get off around 8pm. on Thursday. Obviously you gain your hour back, but it is a shorter sailing time and only one night on the ship.

That is interesting we met 2 English blokes in Spain and I thought i picked them up wrong about the ferry we do rosslare to bilbao in 28 hours so only one night I would have presumed it to be much quicker from England .. thanks Rob

If only we had a touring thread where these trips could be easily found for reference

Plymouth to Bilbao is thirteen hours shorter than Portsmouth to Bilbao.

If you book your ferry through Brittany Hotels and book your fist nights stop after your disembark, you get a substantial discount on your ferry booking, more than the cost of the room.
