It is hard to do, i don't go out to be a Guinness i go out because i like riding, it's great here when out in the sticks it's great but from the moment you get to southampton it starts and you know it straight away!!
Nobody gives a shit it's got that bad, the amount of times i've been out of southampton and riding home as soon as your just riding past Winchester it starts, the standard drops and it's a nightmare!! 🤷‍♂️

Absolutely.. most cities are the same full of fuckers with no patience.. I had way too many scrapes in my youth and in 94 I was arrested for punching the side window through on a volvo and grabbing the driver.. now I try not put myself in those situations and just stay calm .it gets easier the more you ignore the fucktards around you 👌

I did that, a guy was just being a Guinness in a small van, i was on my 900ie!! i got in front of him and stopped the bike and punched his window in and threatend to kill the Guinness!! I wasn't far from home so a light went on in my head as to wtf am i doing so rode off quick smart!! I was living in a flat with a basement parking, rode in and parked up, luckily nothing came of it. 🤷‍♂️

Don’t take it personally.

Expect it to happen.

Never try and physically deal with a situation that’s escalating while you’re still on the bike.

Some people are bad drivers. Some are Guinnesss. You are not going to change them.

Shake your head and move on. It’s better for you that way.

A person on a motorcycle, riding within limits and they're on the correct side of the road. All of a sudden they see an artic barrelling along on the wrong side of the road.

Do they
(1) stand their ground whilst rage shouting that you are in the right
(2) take avoiding action and then check their pants for poop
(3) take avoiding action, check your pants for poop and then have a chuckle that the devil hasn't got you yet and you live to fight another day.

For me sometimes it's easier said than done but your right and i do try!! I think i will go out in the day like i used too, less hastle!! :)

Back in 2000 coming out of Dublin city centre i slowed for a set of lights they turned green i grabbed a handful of throttle sailed up on to the back wheel thru first second and clicked third as I noticed a bike cop sitting on the far side of the lights .. I dropped the front wheel gunned it momentarily and headed for our ring road the M50. As I went down the on ramp I knew how quick the fuckers are as 2 mates are traffic cops so I pulled in .... he came around the on ramp so fast he over shot me by a hundred metres easy .. I had to drive up to him for a bollocking... he asked why I pulled in and it was a good chance to drop my 2 mates names and say all you guys are nuts on bikes 😬 he told me to fuck off into the countryside to act the bollocks and stay out of the city centre 👀

The only time I’ve run from the cops, I didn’t know I was…I thought it was some twat trying it on. Was in a car, about 1am Monday morning. The first time they put their lights on was 50m from my parents house on the drive. As I was getting my ticket I could see my mum and dad at their bedroom window every other second in the blue lighting.
Good thing was, they couldn’t say anything because I’d been with them both when they’d got pulled. And other times when they were doing 150+ 😁

That said, I’ve seen a cop when I’ve been having fun and gunned it, but I don’t think I’d got their attention, so wasn’t a true run…was just being sure.
 
The only time I ran from a cop, I didn't know it.
It was when I passed a bike hidden down a side road, out in the middle of nowhere - I think I'd noticed a bright yellow blob there, maybe but in all honesty, it really didn't really register.
Several miles of lovely twisties later, I slowed for the 30 zone of a village and a short queue of traffic. Eventually some blues appeared behind me and so I pulled into a lay-by.

The cop expressed surprise at seeing me - he'd been doing 80-90 trying to catch up but guessed that I had turned off the road somewhere. A polite telling off followed and to make him feel better, I decided to look ashamed of myself.
 
I got pulled during convid on my 900ie as i was heading for the garage next to Loomies, there is a nice straight bit of road and i was doing about 70mph. In my wing mirror i saw a bmw going at warp speed behind me, i thought is this some Guinness trying to race me.:unsure:
Then the penny dropped it's plod in an unmarked motor, next thing lights on so i pulled over, they got out of the car and i got my lid off and they asked what was i doing all the way out here?
Off the top of my head i said i'm off to the garage to get some meat etc (they do some nice bacon etc) complete bs but they just said to me not to be so far out of soton as i'm breaking lockdown rules!!:rolleyes:
Then a bike copper pulls up and starts sticking his nose in sayng my exhaust is to loud tinted visor is illegal and my number plate was to small!!:mad:
Then the copper that was dealing with it basically told him this is him dealing with it and dismissed him, fucking funny as he made him look a right Guinness!!:ROFLMAO:
So he fucked off and they just said not to be so far out of southampton and stay local, after going to the garage i rode home seeing the bike cop on the side of the rode as i was going home, funny as fuck!!:)

Today after fitting another number plate on the Harley i went for a blast to get some fuel then get a bit of shopping!!:rolleyes:
It's overcast with some light rain, i saw a mint Lancia Delta Integrale in a deep burgundy colour, bloody gorgeous.👌Not many bikes out today and out of about 8 riders only two nods, miserable bastids!!:) Still have a slow puncture in the rear, it looses about 5psi overnight so not to bad, there's to much meat on it to get a new one and should last into next year.🤷‍♂️
