What have you done on your bike today?

Call me cautious, but just to be safe, the rear sprockets on my bone-shakers have spring washers, Loctite & wire-locking !!

New boots front and back.
I've had my newly shod spare wheels waiting to be swapped over once I'd squeezed the last bit of legal tread from the old ones, for quite a while
I was disappointed to notice that the ABS rotor had been bent (presumably whilst having the tyres changed) and so I had to straighten it before refitting.

A pair of "slash-cut" cans would look good on that ! (y) .......... If you don't mind me sayin' ;)
Yea they look the dogs bollocks but back when these cans went on they weren't readily available so the termis got fitted the bike is 09 with on 4000kms on it so its very low miles .... I think this is one of the best sounding Ducs before the squarer engines took over from the longstroke motors 👍

Today i have been out on the Harley, it was grey skies and not that warm until the sun came out and warmed things up. Not many bikes out today that i found a bit odd and to be honest not a lot of traffic.:) I also found a button that swaps the small display screen, it's got trip 1-2, gear and revs display and the time, it was easy to set up. I am going to phone a place that does dyno because i checked the plugs yesterday and it's running lean as fuck, the plugs were grey with no deposits. It needs to be more rich because it pops and backfires quite a bit and i have used three garages today and the last one was a BP garage in Salisbury. I've had it before in that garage with dodgy fuel, on the way home about five minutes in it started missing, there is a garage in Romsey i used to put fuel in the 900ie and it was contaminated with diesel, the 900ie was smoking like fuck and missing, i try not to use that one.🤷‍♂️

Just made it home, still need to sort the clutch, I am retarded and cannot manage a simple bleed procedure.

I was left stranded by the District Ducati group today, what a disappointment. In all my years of riding with folks we've never left anyone stranded, unbelievable.
My 1299 panigale are renowned for the clutch going limp if left lying for a short period.... I wouldn't be surprised if its the same lever and master cylinder on the newer bikes... simple fix is hold the lever and crack the bleed nipple on the clutch lever while holding the lever in then close the nipple and check the clutch lever normally 2 trys at this bring my clutch back to full life .. hopefully the day wasn't a total loss buddy 🙏

Likely similar issue. I did try a similar approach, but just made it worse. Fucked it all up. Day was not quite a total loss , I got a few tools and now have something new to figure out. And I got to spend time with my favorite person on another adventure. Some of us are lucky like that. You know.

Bleeding brakes can be very frustrating as you can replicate the procedure and have different results each time. I hate doing that job ... But I hate paying someone else to do it even more. If they can do it so can I.
The last time I was struggling with this job my son fitted a high suction vacuum to the line and drew all the air out of the system, that worked well.

Woah, slow down, issue's the clutch, not there yet though I suppose both operate similarly. It is unbelievable in all my years of riding, I've never had to deal with with either. Not a regular at the track is likely why.

After the bike's are sorted (going to repladlce that rear tire on the KTM too), have to take care of the coupe, it's having issues with an intake manifold control rod that needs replacing. That will be quite the job for me, but it'll get done.

For some reason clutches are harder to bleed than brakes (maybe just me 🤔)

Turn the bars so the reservoir is level - this is usually at right hand lock - and try not to let the fluid drain to the bottom of the reservoir, unless you're going the whole hog and cleaning the bottom of the reservoir 👍

If you’re not planning on using the bike for a day or two try tying the lever back to the bar leave cap loose
If it’s just a bit of air it will magically disappear

The pani clutches are renowned for being a Guinness in general to bleed

This is the best solution with the 1299 clutch .. I don't understand why they are so affected with air in the fluid ?
