What have you done on your bike today?

A mate was test riding a couple of new Triumphs today, A 900 Tiger Alpine Edition and a 1200 Explorer GT so went for a ride out while he tested them. Lovely sunny day today - rain forecast for all of next week.

He currently has a 1050 Tiger and wanted something a bit lower and lighter as he's only 6" taller than Chizzer 👀 bur tried the 1200 Exp as it has a lowering button for starting and stopping and also has shaft drive.

He didn't get on with the 1200 Exp but liked the Alpine a lot...

That must have been taken before they abandoned the upside-down approach and opted for the back-to-front approach instead 👍👍👍
Shall I stir the pot a bit on this forum favorite topic?

I find it quite telling that there has been no AI queery as to the level of asthetical appeal of the Bimota outside of checking what this single forum thinks. A single forum where individuals can alter the percentage of likes or dislikes with repeated posts of the same statement. Maybe its just me

I will just leave you with this as I am going to the pub soon 🍻

is the Bimota Tesi 3D Edizione Finale one of the most exotic bikes on the planet?

Yes, the Bimota Tesi 3D Edizione Finale is absolutely considered one of the most exotic, avant-garde motorcycles on the planet.
Hand-built in Italy, it represents the absolute pinnacle of alternative chassis design, completely discarding the traditional front motorcycle fork in favour of a radical engineering masterpiece. [1, 2, 3]

What Makes It So Exotic?
  • Radical Hub-Centric Steering: Instead of traditional front forks, the Tesi 3D uses a front tubular steel trellis swingarm. The handlebars connect to the front wheel hub via a series of mechanical linkages. This separates steering, braking, and suspension forces, allowing the bike to remain completely flat and stable without "diving" under heavy braking. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
  • Extreme Rarity: The Edizione Finale (Final Edition) was strictly limited to just 45 individually numbered units worldwide, marking the absolute end of the line for Ducati-powered Bimotas before the company transitioned to Kawasaki-backed platforms. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Exquisite Materials & Styling: Apart from the fuel tank (built from composite materials for US homologation rules), the entirety of the bodywork and structural subframe is made from ultra-lightweight carbon fibre. [1, 2]
  • Premium Mechanical Spec: Bimota spared no expense, dressing the Final Edition with a 1,078cc Ducati Evolution L-Twin engine, top-tier fully adjustable Öhlins TTX suspension, an in-house Arrow exhaust system, and forged OZ Racing wheels. The entire machine tips the scales at a featherweight 167 kg (368 lbs) dry. [1, 2, 3, 4]

And its fucken ugly

I think I'd take up drinking again If I'd bought that wheelbarrow. No wonder why your always in the pub.

Don't forget the Yorkshire sprint. Offer to get the last round in but leave the pub just before it happens
You have to admire bimota’s commitment to DEI
Hiring a black transvestite with a Labrador as chief designer was only ever going to end up a disaster

Today i've just been up to Tesco and fuck me it's cold, i think it will be full face lid next time!! I don't see the point of riders wearing a bandana thing around there face when it's cold while using a half face lid? Not worn my semi new LS2 lid i bought two years ago, not worn it for at least a year:unsure:. Tesco was like iraq and africa, no point going on holiday anymore it's all here so save yourself some money and just go for a walk around town.🤷‍♂️

Well, yesterday kinda went a bit sideways.... fuel pump repair for my mate went off the rails so didnt do that. And because i didnt do that i got the replacement job of repainting the firepit.

Repaired my daughters office/gaming chair which ive been meaning to do....the only good thing i got from my old workplace...back in covid when we all had to work from home i took home the most expensive office chair i could find....it just never went back....not a gaming chair but fuck me its comfortable so much so that my daughter now has it and ive got a 20quid ikea kitchen chair to sit on in the kitchen.

Went over the road to help my neighbour with his clutch line repair. The replacement part didnt fit but, managed to repair the original one - couldnt find any bleed nipple on the engine anywhere to purge the air so heath robinson'd a method which worked. To say the boyfriend was relieved was nice to see. Earned myself a 12 pack of blood orange cider (which should last me another year) i like one now and again....and the other half a bottle of wine.

Back in the garden to refit all the sockets and switches in the firepit so thats done..today have to put the replacement/new led rope lights in as the old ones disintegrated. Itll be nice to be in the garden for once today without needing to mix cement/re-lay slabs/get a million tools out to do something....

So bit of bumbling in the garden today, finish early afternoon to reitre to the sofa, watch some films, mess about and play some old retro games on my LegionGo and then a big sunday lunch....perfect day.
