This is on the British Heart Foundation Ebay site but finishes in 22 hours

The problem with that one is every time you go past the German Embassy, your arm shoots up in an involuntary salute... :(

Trevor needs a fuel pump for his Desmosedici - are they a special or the same as other models of that era? Can't find a parts list for it.

Hopefully going watch shopping today - it’s oh big birthday soon so he thought he’d treat himself and put some more money towards the £50 I’m giving him 😜

He likes a breitling but neither of us are watch officianados and probs have up to £2550.00 to spend 😁

Needs to be an everyday watch and probs second hand (he likes stainless straps but I find they tangle in my hair 😡)

Any (sensible) recommendations probs going to Bath

@Robarano and @Mary Hinge are knowledgeable about watches.

Have you looked online at second hand ones? Someone like watchfinder. You may get a good condition 2nd hand Omega Seamaster or Tag Heuer Carrera for that budget (or a little more), or Breitling as he likes those, although I think you’ll struggle to get one of their chronograph models but a quick check throws up a nice looking Superocean that’s almost in budget.

For around £2.5k I'd consider going 2nd hand (no pun intended) with a mid 90's to 00's Omega Seamaster 300 M Automatic

They are now retro cool and should move up in value from here. I've worn one for 20 years as a daily beater and it's never missed a beat.

He likes the Seamaster so 5.5k it is then !

We went to Luxury Watches and Timepieces - Bath - Mallory Jewellers

Superb jewellers service was second to none (but then they did have 50k watches in the window and decompression door security!)

The ‘salesman’ really knew his stuff and there was 0 pressure , what I liked most was he talked to us both equally which was refreshing

Kinda put us off second hand ones when he explained the new mechanisms etc and deffo the omega were nicer than modern breitling

The new Seamaster 300 M is a great looking watch, especially with a white face. (y)
