Time for a build thread...?

Had a measure up and trial fit.

With the wider spacers for the 10mm offset sbk discs, TC pickup wheel fitted, there is a large wheel spacer needed to get the air gap to the sensor/holder.

This in turn, leaves no real gap for the DT sensor holder in the spacer stack.

It's either revert to the HPK discs and smaller disc spacers, or go 15mm SBK 12 bobbin offset. Which doesn't exist...

Unless some carriers with the 15mm offset were made as a one off for Keith Amor...

Albeit without the Brembo badge. Although in gold.

might be worth giving mode a call as they might have an odd bespoke carrier that was never paid for. They can only say no.

Still waiting for Mode to send the discs back. I need these to work out the wheel spacer width to fit the TC trigger wheel sensor gap.

Been in contact with Pro Alloy to have a header tank made, to fit in frame V. As per 916 etc. Also to make an oil breather/separator tank. They seem quiet keen to take this on.

Had a little fit with the fairing. The previous bikenit was fitted to must've had a slightly different subframe fitted, as the top holes by the screen are out.

Not a great pic.

Cheers Sev.

They hadn't touched them as of last week.

The discs i have are 10mm offset. Mode ones are about 17mm mm offset. This will help in not needing such thick disc spacers.

As effectively I have 1098 wheels going onto widetrack panigale.

Have fitted the new disc carriers and confirm that a 5mm spacer is needed to fit the widetrack Pani yokes.

Also worked out the wheel spacer sizes and offset for the TC pickup.

Will need to get on the lathe to make the wheel spacers. Will make them captive in the seal, so they don't fall out when removing/fitting wheel.

Also need to skim 2.5mm from the disc spacers too.

The bike is at Pro Alloy PRO ALLOY - SPECIALIST MOTORSPORT ENGINEERING having the header tank and oil separator made. They are bespoke hand made items. Having had a tour of the facility, they are the guys to go for to have any ally parts made. Chad aside...he is also good with a torch.

I acquired a 64mm brake caliper for the Bursi arm, which will be fitted when the bike returns.

I have a Braketec 240mm floating rear disc but may have to look for a 225mm Moto Corse one or similar, due to the length of the hanger bracket.

The cable ties will suffice, for now.

Some pics have come through from Pro Alloy.

The header tank can accommodate the 916 filler neck and cap, to tie in the Ducati theme.

The tank will fit in the void between the airbox and the frame headstock.

The oil seperator/breather tank has baffles inside along with FIA oil foam. The original 999 oil separator doesn't fit around the Bursi frame rails.

They also made a nifty overflow bottle and bracket, welded to the existing rad.

FE me old luv, can you tell me what link lead kit you used to link the RR to the old wiring harness? :)
And was the RR new or is it a Ducati pantigargle item?
It is the Triumph lead and the RR was new.

A few years old, from the links that ChrisW put up over on Mordor.

you've just given aircon a massive told ya so chubby by posting that photo.
is the big red cross because it needs to go to the hostiple?

What caused it anyway? any idea?

On the 749 I bought the swanky FH020 kit from that germania and either it or the wires done a pretty good job of melting the connectors at the battery end.
Just to be safe I replaced the reg/rec and battery for a conventional one and put my spare generator in as well.

I think if I do the kit again I may just buy the connectors to make up my own leads, and a proper yamaha / ducati main dealer item or branded Shindengen FH020 just to be safe.

Any ideas @AirCon ?

I believe there is a circuit board under that cover and it looks like something had to sink a lot of current.... that turned into heat....
