Today another nice day, but the forecast doesn’t look hopeful for tomorrow , but then today was already sunny day number 4, so not complaining( not yet) journey brought us from Finm land in Oban to Kinlochleven with a slight detour doing the Glencoe Pass, pretty stuff! Barbecue was right on top of Glencoe Pass @JAT to be precise

So if you ever get lost around here , Kinlochleven is an eerie experience it is remotely hidden away in a absolutely fabulous valley near Glencoe, the setting is breathtakingly beautiful, surrounded by really high mountains all around, rivers, loch, it’s all there, however the village is like a ghost town, utterly depressing, pure doom and gloom, the best thing is, one night bookings only this holiday so out of it tomorrow morning, everything here is stuck in the 50’s even the decor, pay special attention of the local postbox

Well today’s travels brought us from Kinlochleven to Kilmaluag on the beautiful island of Skye, driving over the Skye bridge in the south and driving right across it to the far north, absolutely stunning, hard to express in words and photo’s don’t do it justice either, if you’ve never been then put it on your bucket list , trust me and thank me later, especially for @JAT route today A82, A87, A855

It is a homage to a born and bred Skye tour guide from early 1900’s if I remember well, celebrating his lifelong friendship with a professor who came to him as a customer to climb on Skye and ended up being his best friend for over 50 years, when the tour guide died, the professor moved to the island to spend the rest of his days here and on his dead requested to be buried next to his best friend, along those lines anyhow, very gripping and heartwarming story, not a statue from some Guinness who enslaved thousands and got filthy rich with the proceeds for a change
More of the Isle of Skye today and then on to Newtonmore in the Cairngorms ( another shit town used as a halfway house between two interesting locations, avoid is the advice) few pics of beautiful Isle of Skye though, spend most of today there, it’s beautiful, well worth the visit, anyone who visits should certainly go up north as it is the most rugged and wild, please do look no further and stay in THE BRIDGE B&B in KILMALUAG it is the best one I have encountered in some time, you will not regret it, don’t ride the same way back south, but follow the coastal road anti clockwise , it’s epic!
Better going to nethy bridge and avoid Newtonmore smaller places are nicer
