Me and Elsie did a road-trip around there about 10 years ago, and I pre-booked what looked like a nice hotel in Portland.

We arrived and couldn't find the address of this hotel, and after an hour of driving round, I stopped at a Visitor Information place.

The woman there looked at my reservation, and calmly advised that I'd booked a hotel in Portland Maine, not Portland Oregon.

It's a 47 hour drive and 3188 miles away.

New/blank U.K. passports are made by the French company Thales at their polish site. The content of the passport is carried out in the U.K. by His Majesty's Passport Office (HMPO). The new passports incorporate advanced security features such as biometric technology, digital watermarks, RFID chips, and holograms.

It means they can track you from space because the lizard people want it that way.

Today I learnt that when you’re booking the Santander ferry, if you book it through Brittany Ferries ‘Holidays’ and book your first nights hotel through their site, you get a third off the ferry price.
My mate ChezzyMick has booked to take my old van to Spain.
The Plymouth —> Santander ferry , with a 4 berth inside cabin (there’s only two of them) came to £538. He tried again and booked through ‘holidays’, with a Paramor hotel in Saldana (don’t quote me on that), a couple of hours into Spain, the hotel was £120ish, but he got £161 off of the ferry price.
Basically a ‘free’ night in a hotel with their supper (🙄) paid for.
Also the Plymouth ferry rather than the Portsmouth ferry is substantially quicker. (13 hours)
I hope this helps someone.

Dude... those chips have a 400mm range... how high are you flying?

You can say
"Have a nice day" no problem, but saying
"enjoy the next 24 hours" sounds vaguely threatening.
😂

I work as annon site Technician and the dispatchers have sent me orders for Portland. Portland Main is about 2.5 hours drive and Portland Oregon is more than a 3 hour flighr. Not my fault I did not make it to that call. Even the people who live here make that mistake, not your fault
