only guesssing here, but for myself and the few other stoner fans i know ( we dont hang about in groups wearing luminous clothes) I dont think many are really that bothered about vale, like me it more a case of its a shame his career seems to be going out with a whimper and worse that its happening on a ducati. the only pathetic thing i find is valentinos fans who would rather see someone else doing poorly than have their own man doing better

Just to clear a wee thing up, vale FANS are still cheering him on even that he isnot doing so well anymore, you know what real fans do. If whinger wins 4 more titles in a row some of you might have a case to mention him in the same breath as rossi, until then......lol

I don't like being punched in the face but it is certainly better than a punch in the goolies......
I know a few Stoner fans who Rossi really gets on their nerves....probably as much as Stoner is seen to get on Rossi fans nerves.
Funny thing is that despite how talented the guy is (yep...you heard me right...a Rossi fan saying that Stoner is good!!!), Stoner is very difficult to warm to for many people for a variety of reasons, but if someone does not (publically) like Stoner and coincidentally likes Rossi they are automatically viewed with the same delusion by Stoner fans that they must therefore hate stoner because they love Rossi.
There are many racers I like, and there are a few I dislike.
The ones I dislike are for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with those i like.....
Can I just make that clear......any like or dislike for Stoner has absolutely NOTHING to do at all with Rossi.......although sometimes it is fun to make it seem that way as a wind up...
And whats wrong with standing around in groups wearing bright clothing???
For a start we need to let Rab feel at home, and second of all when else would we get chance to talk about how we were gonna wind up Stoner fans???

We were at the old hairpin/bottom of craner curves and I don't remember any of this until we found out later that it had happened at some parts of the circuit...despite hundreds of Rossi fans around us stood cheering Danny & others regardless....
Think it was parts of the crowd at the start/finish straight when he got the trophy. seem to remember someone havin a hissy fit one time rossi won a race, think it was in the us

Don't recall stoner fans on here attacking Rossi in such a vindictive manner.
I like both of them, and don't dislike any of the other riders.
Sometimes the comments made about stoner are almost personal, and rather pathetic, in a childish sort of way.
Not really neccessary for mature adults to behave in such a way, in my opinion, for what is worth:flash:

Nobody has said anything very nasty about Stoner except they don't like him, or that he appears to have an excuse for all occasions. Plenty of nasty attacks on Rossi and remarks about his sexuality on this and most other forums.

Imho I don't think its to do with Stoner, I think its possibly the Aussie syndrome. Being a cricket fan, yea alright
, the Aussie players display a supreme self confidence and belief they are the best, and they usually are, that it is very hard to like them. I think the same applies to Stoner, he thinks he's the best and isn't afraid to go out and prove it sadly like Aussie sportsmen he doesn't take defeat gracefully. I don't suppose he gives a shit what we think as long as he gets the fastest bike and keeps winning

I don't "dislike" any of the riders and am not pro or anti Rossi and everyone of them has more talent and balls than most of us mere mortals. They are risking their lives to do what they enjoy and at the same time entertain us.
The problem I have with Stoner is not that he had "arm pump" or a bad back or constipation or whatever, it is the fact he just makes too much of whatever the problem was. At the weekend he was asked what was wrong and he answered. Fair enough.
However before I heard the reason for his problem I noticed as he stood on the podium for his trophy as the ceremony was going on he was holding his arm with his "good" arm and I wondered if he had broken it. The longer he stood there the more he was making of it. By the end of the ceremony I was hoping someone was going to run on and put it in a sling.
Just reminded me of my kids when they were younger telling me they had a sore stomach and couldn't go to school but they had to double over and groan just to make sure I knew it was really sore.

Stoner is a brilliantly talented, totally focused, rider who rides the wheels off anything he gets on. You have to admire his skill and bravery.
On the other hand, from what I've seen, he has absolutely no interest in, or ability to interact with, the fans.

at the present moment stoner and lets call him stoner instead of whinger, after all i dont make use off rossis name to call him tossi for example, stoner has won a moto gp championship and several other races on a ducati. a lot more than tossi (sorry rossi, dont want to be childish do we) has managed. and as a DUCATI fan thats all that counts with me, caporossi before him and hayden and bayliss and basically anybody who rides well on a Ducati I will support, even rossi if he can turn it around
