Absolutely correct. He was winning races for Ducati until the very end of his time there. Was it 4 wins in the last 6 races?

I don't understand your point about development, the riders have very little time to make any impact these days. As am sure VR would testify to.

he asked what was causing him problems near the end and he gave an honest answer......are you guys so anti anybody that beats rossi, you cant just look at a fact and accept it

Notice rossi fans dont dislike lorenzo, pedrosa, they beat vale regularlly to now. they admit they get beat by a better rider sometimes, but if you lot want to just accept the bull whinger comes out with every time he loses as " truth " enjoy:rolleyes:

Well, it's not like he had an excuse primed and ready for action before the race... when someone was faster in qualifying. But then, he was passed by someone on the same bike, so his pre-bated excuse was going to be a tough one to fly. Arm pump mysteriously makes an appearance even though he's been riding the bike in 2011 and testing all winter without suffering.

Stoner is never beaten by anyone else, just outside factors beyond his control.

This looks to be an interesting year. Rossi as a backmarker on the Ducati, the claiming rule teams making headway, at least 3 or 4 bikes that could win each race and possibly more as the season goes on, Brits with a chance of a podium and the Moto2 new boy.

No mystery about Rossi - he suffered the same fate as Ben Spies. Both crashed multiple times in practice/qualifying and looked to have lost confidence.

Some seriously twisted views of what is reality and sorry to highlight yours Colz, but this is not correct.

Lorenzo and Pedrosa have both been booed by the Rossi fan base. I recall 2006, Donnington where Pedrosa won by a huge margin and got booed. I have never been to a UK GP since. Just embarrassing really. Valentino himself has asked his fans not to boo his competitors when they win.

As for Caseys answer, he blamed himself. He said he needed to get to the gym. So why are people criticising him for giving a straight explanation as to why he slowed down? Seems to be proof that Rossis fans do abuse other racers that beat him!

Incidentally, has anyone read Rossis post race comments? Very interesting. They make Caseys worst efforts look like milk and cookies!

Despite there being no magic bullet for Ducati I enjoyed the race, some good battles going on. Good to see Cal going well. Let's hope Ducati find the answer soon, for their sake.

They may not ride Ducatis but my praises go to Cal Crutchlow and Scott Reading. Scott is a very tall boy which is a disadvantage in his class but he rode a wonderful race. If they do bring in a lower weight limit in this class, as has been talked about, I think we'll see Scott on the podium again.

I watched every race from start to finish and it was a great day's entertainment.:thumbs::D

C'mon, at least Rossi is consistent - he's been saying the bike isn't good for ages. Certainly he is a bit petulant from time to time, but he's done well to try and transmit a positive message up until now. I think he can see the end of his contract (and probably career) coming up fast and he's unhappy that it's going to end this way. Ducati and to some extent Rossi have definitely underestimated Stoner's talent and commitment riding the Ducati, but this is exactly what's been needed... they ignored Stoner when he told them there were problems - they could brush it off as the ramblings of someone they hired as a rookie, but when two ex-world champs are struggling, and one of them is the most successful rider of his generation, how long can you keep your fingers in your ears?
 
Cal(sorry chiz!!) did ride brilliant but he still has a bit to go till he can mix it with the aliens. everyone will have a rider they dont like, i just dont like stoner, couldnt stand him from the 250s still cant, dont like rossi, good for you, just try and look at things evenlly and dont blindlly suck up everything your fav says

yeah rossi fans have been @@@@s to people that beat him in the past, the way i look at it is every rider will have a arsehole following, just rossi has a lot bigger fanbase than anyone else so its a lot more i noticable, i am sure there are stoner fans that are loving it the state vale is in now and thats just as pathetic aint it?

i dont think a physical disability counts as an excuse , just a truthfull answer, or were all rossis shoulder problems last year just excuses for loosing???
