Just occurred to me that I've got Monday off :)

Anyone else?

Had a brief chat about this during the monthly SDC meet tonight, and it appears a few others should be off too.

Fancy meeting at Stirling services and taking a run up to the Clachaig (Glencoe) for lunch?

Or, where do you fancy?

...would that be on the D16?
I would but I'm still licking my wounds from all the abuse I got last night!!! ;) :p

I feel like a venture out......

Poor Ed - you really did take a lot of stick last night. It was really good to see you ........
(it was you that mentioned Nairn and the Johnsons first though I'm sure :D )

The D16 has completed is allocated mileage for this quarter ;)

This trip will be by hypermonkey mate.

I've got a day off on Monday. Route-wise, Glencoe would be fine but as we're going there in August how about a run down to Galloway eg meet Abington and go down to New Galloway and on to the Isle of Whithorn, lunch, quick paddle in the sea and home again ?

Hi,
Might be interested in a Monday run if I get my bike finished i.e paint spraying and rebuilt. I would have came to the Perth meet however after arriving home on a very wet Tuesday and extremely @@@@ed off at the paint flaking off the underside and side of the crankcases I took a mad turn and ripped the paint off -it was detached from the crancases anyway and floating around in the wind. After metal preparation and a late night last night lying under my bike she's now primed and ready for the top coat and then lacquer. Hopefully I'll get it all finished this weekend. Although I use my bike daily (commute) and in all weathers she's cleaned and dried every night expecially in the winter and although I love the bike - I just wish the paint would stay on. Isn't powder coat great!! Take the footrest hangers and I'm on my second set - from a distance the paint looks fine but close up, large areas are detached from the metal however it's so thick it stays intact but can come of in large chunks. Presently hoping to have them re-done.

This will give you the routes and sections for each of the days.
Monday (guessing that's what you had in mind) usually has sections just off the road which are easily accessible on foot.
Not like watching Superbikes in action but the bike control is breathtaking from most of the competitors.
Always meant to watch the pre 65's but always seems to clash with something else.:(

I'm off on Monday as well and, barring any unforeseeable incidents I'm up for a run.:D
Hopefully Amy will be able to come along for her first SDC run.:)

Must admit I like the sound of this run as I love the Isle of Whithorn and we seem to be heading north for the rest of the season. :D  :D

Sorry Gordon, what I actually meant was, I don't have to attend my work on monday to do my usual ;)

I trust this clears up any confusion, and I hope normal service will be resumed shortly :D
