OK Derek stop it...it's not helping me :p I hate the look of the stock monster, with it's mickey mouse ears, its mudguards, nose fairing, stock exhausts, handle bars, tail etc etc...

All I'm needing is the colour of the frame, and I think I'm settling on black so...squint your eyes a bit and imagine this colour scheme...and round wheels ;)

Well throw away the bits you don't like :D
I just used a picture of a stock Monster to demo the colours because it was all I had.
A black frame was what you first thought of a couple of months ago as far as I remember. This consulation excerise hasn't done you any good at all - but you did ask ;)

Hey its been fun though eh :p You know I'm only kidding...I really do appreciate the help :)

Back then it was just a red tank though, so I kind of needed to go round the houses a bit to get to this. I'm always in two minds about whether to hide the frame or emphasise it. I'm feel pretty happy with this look though.
 
the torquise frame looked a bit girly...........nic liked it and shes a girly, so i must be right.:D tho i think a pink frame would emphasise it more without being too masculine for you

Hmm, KTM have just gone down the orange frame route with the new SM950R, black bodywork but i think white will look way better

My final decision was between a black/orange tank with white frame, or white/orange/black tank with black frame. I think both would look really great.
 
OK this is it...I don't care what anyone thinks, this is the final design. I'm just posting it to end this thread.

Whether it ever actually gets built is another matter...all my money seems to be flooding into the Ukraine's economy right now :doh:

A bit too late

This months edition (Jan 2007)of Motorcycle Sport & Leisure has a 4 page feature on Ducati North America's Monster Challenge with 11 pictures of customised Monsters. Not much meat in the article but definitely worth a look if you're a Monster fan.
