He suffered from cheap Chinky shit on his vacuum cleaners and against advice he spent millions beating them in court. His electric car would not be able to have the same patent protection.

I know that Dyson bought Hullavington Aerodrome in order to test his EV. It was developed, tested, and ready. He worked out his car would have to cost about £120k and he would definitely not subsidise it from other products to make it cheaper. He was pretty sure that this is what the car manufacturers were going to do and so he bailed.

I'm fed up of comments from people ridiculing EVs. They don't know what they're talking about.
Personally, I drive two top of the range EVs, a Jaguar and a Porsche.
Their acceleration and handling is fantastic. They look brilliant and they're really cheap to run. They need hardly any maintenance and haven't depreciated since I bought them.
Literally the only criticism I could make of them, is sometimes, if I really push the controls, they can fly off the track and get stuck under the sofa.

I've been looking at getting a Mercedes-Benz shooting brake, only to discover the hybrid seemed excellent value.
2016 and 2017 models for very reasonable prices....
Then after a fair bit of research.... recommend battery replacement every 4 years... at a cost £7000 to £15,000 .
The battery range is only 35 miles and it isn't possible to drive the car with a bad regenerative battery
