After all this time I couldn't tell for definite but I had Contis fitted to my 860 GTS from new and they fitted straight on with no problems.
 
Paddy - I've joined all the Facebook Bevel groups - and there's plenty of them. Try the Bevel Owners Group - they're mostly Aussies (and probably your customers). They'll definitely have an opinion on it....

There is also a Scottish Ducati Club Facebook group which I don't participate in. The downside is that things are discussed and talked about which people on the forum know nothing about, then when you meet up you find you're the only person in the company who has no idea what's going on. :o

I am not a social media fan to the extent that others are but I do use it to keep in touch with what my friends are doing whom I dont see as often as I like.
And of course yes the scottish ducati club.
Some of the stuff on it, and the constant game requests or posts by stupid people make me cringe, but I just block or delete them.
I treat it the same as a TV.
I select what I want to see and never turn to channels aI dont want to...you get used to it after a while.

PS... the SDC facebook page is an open page...so you dont have to be in the dark by not having a facebook account.

I wasn't aware that it was an open page Robbie. It seems to get plenty of use but I'm still won't be joining FB over it
 
Well, I've only just joined Facebook, but it's put me back in contact with a number of old friends. The main benefit though is just to just to enjoy reading Group and Community photos relating to Ducatis, particularly Bevels.

It's not so different from the banter we have here.
An added benefit of being a friend of NeilD is that he posts loads of photos of the Canadian Lancaster which has just arrived in Lincolnshire.

And another thing - there's a guy who understands HDR photography and can turn your photo into something like this! Great, isn't it?

I gave up with aircraft photography years ago. It used to be a skill and a challenge, now with photo shop you can make just about any picture pretty good. One day a mate said to me " You might as well go and buy a magazine, the pictures are much better and photoshopped to perfection for you.....He is right ......lol
 
Thank goodness - I've been having Bevel Refurb Withdrawal Syndrome and this is the perfect antidote. Come on Scott get cracking and get her up and running!

I have the new clocks, stainless rear mudguard CEV rear light and duck tail for seat, CEV indicators and Jota bars. The paint work is being done , orange of course :-)

You think Ducati parts are expensive ? £400 for a pair of Laverda headlamp brackets :mad:
 
So after all you've said about Laverdas you've finally "come out"! Don't worry Paddy - there's no shame in it, but then you have bought the "Ladies model" 120!
Actually I nearly bought an SF3 but I hung on too long for a price reduction and the vendor went and sold it. The 1973 inner hooligan in me took over and I bought this....

Ah yes but my thoughts on Lavs was based on my owning a 180 for a few months, i'm hoping a 120 converted back to a 180 lookalike will be slightly more user friendly.

RD350 !! Bit of an odd ball in its day as once you passed your test not many went from 250 to 350 :) That said i went from a ram air 250 Suzuki to a 380 triple :) You will have green peace camping on the front lawn if you start that up :)
 
I haven't used yet apart from getting it MOTd. It's an import so I had to apply for an age related registration. I went to the local dealer to get some 2-stroke oil. He wanted £16.99/litre, but stressed it's fully synthetic and low smoke. I said no way - give me the old Castrol TT, I want to just see a blue haze in my mirrors! Otherwise there'd be no point.
 
looking good chaps..... Ive not done anything on the Darmah recently, the clutch plates are sat there waiting to be fitted.. :o but just to keep my hand in, i'm taking my Triumph to bits :)
