I could park my bike at home in an old stone-built stable which is unlit, not visible from the house and has wooden doors whose hinges could be unscrewed in two minutes. Or I could lock it up in my industrial storage unit which has shrouded locks and hinges that would need an angle grinder to get through; is situated on a farm next to the owners house with motion sensor security lights; which also has a large dog boarding kennel business right opposite the unit where the slightest unfamiliar noise or movement produces absolute uproar at anytime of day or night, and the whole site covered by CCTV with a security bloke in a static caravan right next to the only entrance to the yard.
It's about £100 a year more to insure if I park it up at night in the secure unit rather than the rickety stable. Where's the sense in that?
