Actor's best film

Bette Davis in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane.

I know Bette Davis is considered a gay icon these days but that kind of camp floss does her a great disservice in this film. There's nothing remotely pink and fluffy about it. Her performance is astonishing to the point of being disturbing and turns this dark psychological thriller into a borderline horror film.

Richard Burton (maybe) and Elizabeth Taylor (unquestionably) in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf.
In terms of both content and the context of the two co-stars' personal lives and history, a truly extraordinary, mesmerising and moving pair of performances. Unforgettable.

Hugh Grant as the "Manager" of Florence Foster Jenkins - so fuckin' funny when Meryl Streep tries to sing opera.
