Would agree. If you look at it from the rear it looks like a clown face sticking it's tongue out. However as you say, get it running first, asthetics later

If it were me, I would custom make some led clusters to fit inside the top frame tube where they have been cut off under the seat hump.

I'm sure with very little research you can cobble something together…
The first photo is a bunch of hibrite led's in my muffler covers. There was 12 a side and they were all very visible despite the appearance in this photo. I subsequently removed the std indicators as the led ones were very visible. The second photo is a full resto of a GPZ600R and I put hibrite led's into the side edges of the number plate and sealed them in with a backing plate. They were compliant with our transport authorities.

No, it's not...........however......
It's being put back together as we speak.🥳🥳
My mate is working on it 'cos I'm refurbishing 2 x vtr1000 and a cbf1000

Anyway, the headlight is painted, ready to go
The stock hugger looked naff so I've chopped it about, which I think makes it look a whole lot better
