Mugello Circuit:
Fastest lap for a 1299 was a 1.55 in 2014 here:

Superbike (Superstock Class) 1098R's were doing 1.51's at Mugello in 2011 (superstock for a 1098R means little mods but that's why they were as highly specified in the first place back then - mainly the pipe change which came with the bike anyway and a bit of mapping to suit I guess).
So in this one comparison 1098R 4 seconds quicker.
Without a back to back test with 2 or 3 professional riders somewhere you will never really know

. I'd have thought, comparing the power and weight they'd have been closer. But different riders, tyres, mapping and days may have been factors.

I might even beat Everclear on one of those too, but looking at those times I might need him on the 1299 for a fair race

That I don’t know pauly, but rest assured AC hasn’t ridden it….
As it is still a piece of Italian exotica, it could well be an investment, but as in life there are no guarantees.
If our overlords have their way and initiate the great reset, they will be taking your assets anyhoo, so a possible moot point!
AC is too crafty to lose money, of that we can be sure.
