Yeah great bunch there!!Sorry to interrupt this bike thread
This morning I took the V2S courtesy bike back to Alton. (I had added 400 mile to the clock!, which surprised me)
It (the Multi 1260s) was in for its third Desmo service. It also needed the coolant changing. When they went to replace the drain plug on the water pump housing, They discovered that the plug hole was cross threaded, something I had discovered previously compliments of one of the main dealers I had been to before, Anyhow the solution was to replace the water pump housing, which they did at cost. Once again a very professional service. If you want to use them you will need to book at least 6 weeks in advance.
Apparently it's going to be 42 degrees here today and i have to go to the Hospital for a blood test for 11.50am.After a slow start to the year...
Got the pan mot'd last Thursday with the possibility of taking it to knockhill on Sunday but ended up in the car. I have day in the office today so took a nice bimble in, which was a tad warm in town traffic - luckily most of the journey is on A roads and 'aircon' speed![]()

How much wind protection do you get on the Pansexual? I'm guessing quite a lot. On a naked bike with lots of air flow I've discovered the joys of a mesh jacket - in my case a Furygan. Bought two years ago at J&S during a warm spell because it was on offer. I wondered how many times I'd really wear it but if the sun's out and it's anything above 21 degrees it's my go-to jacket. Combined with mesh gloves it's bloody lovely. Like a kevlar T bag. Feels like I'm wearing a T shirt. Wish they made a matching pair of trousers. After a slow start to the year...

FuryGan, silly.
Try RST Ventilator mesh trousers with a detachable waterproof lining and level 2 body armour. How much wind protection do you get on the Pansexual? I'm guessing quite a lot. Wind protection is pretty good, mine came with 1" bar risers so I'm slightly above the screen wind flow and my hands are above the mirrors (I keep thinking I'm going to remove the bar riser. This MOT ritual is an annual occurence for every vehicle? Must suck. I just paid my 2yr registration on the KTM (250USD), they send you stickers for the plate and that's about it. It's the cost for the privilege to rent a plate and be robbed by insurance. Here we just need to pass inspection for the initial registration. I don't think we even have to have emissions testing on motorcycles (unlike autos).
Wouldn't mind a Pansexual myself one day. It appeals as a characterful jump-on-and-go tourer without being an over-complex heffalump. Never thought about engine heat. You assume because it's enclosed there wouldn't be much of it. TBH I get next to no heat off the Diavel. An underslung decat exhaust no doubt helps a lot.Wind protection is pretty good, mine came with 1" bar risers so I'm slightly above the screen wind flow and my hands are above the mirrors (I keep thinking I'm going to remove the bar riser. Being in NE scotchland I don't have to worry about summer clothing![]()
Mine was a different spec and registered as heterosexual on the genderometer. The one above must be the Harley spec.

My pan is 2002 when abs and electric screen were options, newer ones have them as standard. My screen is set low and I've never thought about moving itWouldn't mind a Pansexual myself one day. My hottest bike is the KTM 1190. The configuration means the engine sits further back than a Duc L-twin and the rear cylinder is pretty much directly under your arse, plus the exhaust cat is right next to your foot.
Does the Pan not have an electrically adjustable screen?
I previously have had a Moto Guzzi Norge. Any heat coming off the engine is trapped by the bodywork and is lovely and warming when its cold and way too hot at slow speed in the summer. Best to whip the lower bodywork off in May and put it back in October. My pan is 2002 when abs and electric screen were options, newer ones have them as standard. Unfortunately the pan isn't designed to remove fairings and still be usefulI previously have had a Moto Guzzi Norge.
