Just done the airport run to Manchester to pick up the Czech family.
After the new rules that came in at the end of Feb meaning my daughter as a dual national couldn't enter the UK without a British Passport (which she doesn't have) she is now here illegally on her Czech passport.
They flew from Slovakia which may have confused any checks at the airport as they are supposed to stop her flying.
My eldest daughter checked (she's a Civil Servant) and found out if she actually got here they couldn't then send her back as she's a British Citizen but would likely hold her for identity checks so I took her Birth Certificate with me just in case.
They got straight through unhindered and I said to meet them at Terminal 3 Multi Story at the pick up point. I finally found them on the third floor of the car park about 500 meters away from the pick up point where they have been several times before
I only spotted them through a gap in the wall from about 200 meters away while on the phone trying to locate them and shouted stop... take a step back... turn round... look over the balcony. Which balcony they said the only fecking balcony right next to you I shouted (whilst remaining totally calm 
)
Gathered them up, and drove back to York for a curry

Found a nice wooded trail nearby. On our walk yesterday we came across this nice scene. Nature enjoying spring.
A pair of Mallards (male & female, he's behind the log, you can see his belly if you look close just beneathe the female) and a bunch of turtles enjoying the sun.
How many turtles can you find (hint >10, on the logs and in water)?
Getting there was an adventure, we had to negotiate a muddy enbankment. As I was going down, Lady K said, "I hope one of us doesn't fall". I said "won't be me!", immediatley afterwhich, I'm sliding down on my ass.
I am happy to report i suffered no injuries and we had quite a laugh for the remainder of our outing. Not because of the fall but apparently I recovered quickly as if nothing had happened.

Today I went to the cardiac unit to get my ticker checked out and see if we can't get to bottom of my chest pains.. turns out , after being wired up and 12 mins on a treadmill, that they have no reason to believe there is anything up with me..
Which is great I guess but it dont solve the riddle and they offered no way forward, im to contact my gp and see what she recommends... she recommended the cardiologist....
Anyhu, this means shoulder surgery can go ahead so im waiting for details on that. It won't be in the immediate future though as after getting home from the hospital ive taken a turn and have very nasty flu symptoms... im not in good shape at all...

It is hardly surprising that you are feeling symptoms of stress. It takes it out of you having to work so hard and bite your tongue at the same time. Your life will become a lot better when you've got your house finished.
