What have you done on your bike today?

Spent a bit of time doing some gnarly and steep trail rides on a remote farm today. Was a lot of fun. Spent most of it on a CRF230 and then did a final lap on a late model yzf250.

New race fairings arrived this morning for the v4! Quality is incredible! Had lots of different fairings from different firms and these are by far the best I’ve ever seen, from Pascal plast in Slovenia, they even gave me an acu discount 👌will put some pics up when I get a minute!

More mile munching this weekend. Up to N. Herts again yesterday rain and spray for most of the journey. This morning I came back via Greenwich and The National Maritime Museum. Which was interesting; they had a photography exhibition With an astronomy theme. There were some fantastic photos there. I was discussing one photo with mu brother when a women said that it was taken by her husband, he came over and we spent a pleasant half hour nattering about high technical photographic techniques. Then we had a look at Miss Britain III (see photos).
Then I fuelled up and finished circumnavigating the M25 before heading for home It stayed dry til I got into Wilts. then it got progressively wetter all the way back.

That of a beautiful boat. No good for fishing or haul over inlet but very lovely lines

At the risk of frightening some of you again, I just want to say that the flooded road on the way to the Farm Shop is even more flooded and obviously still closed to anyone not on a Baby GS.

Time for sissy boys to cower in fear - go!

A car?

Having had problems with water getting into the horizontal spark plug hole I thought it a good idea to fit the Evortech guard that I bought s/h several years ago.
The job involved removing a small plastic cover, fitting 2 brackets and the fitting the guard. One of the 2 brackets is fixed under 2 of the 3 exhaust clamp nuts.
5 years ago I took the exhaust off and sheared the top stud, I tried all sorts of tricks to get the stud out but eventually had to make up a jig and drilled it out.
Yes!, you've guessed it the same stud broke again. Do you think I could find the jig? despite having seen it recently. So my son still had the pattern and milled another one. The guard is now fitted end of story.
P.S.
The Abba Skylift made the job so much less frustrating.

Not since my last prostate test no. I got the impression the doctor was trying to reach my pancrease which meant he had an ulterior motive or something.

While we’re talking about exhaust manifold studs, take a look at these beauties 😡

Hypermotard 2014 - got to remove the exhaust to get the cambelt covers off and get at the belts.

“My bike’s never seen rain mate” he said as he took it out of his van (in the rain) when dropping it off. Yeah, right. They must have got that corroded in the 30 mins it took me to move it out of the rain and into the workshop.

ps no marigolds were harmed in their removal, nor was anyone or anything fingered.

Lots of heat and penetrant/lubricant, perhaps ?

As someone whose technical qualifications were, fix it my good man and I'll pick it up friday, can someone tell me what bits of that should I be looking at

My boiler’s off - as our boiler expert Perry isn’t about to lend his expertise, and bear in mind I have zero handyman skills (unless you need to get rid of a body)…would you risk rewiring this or should I get an electrician?

There is a boost switch which I had used that I think lead to this blowing

The photo has turned 90 degrees, like they sometimes do on here!

Is that a switch that’s burnt out ?

I assume you are going to replace it. If so you have a photo of how the wires go, so just makes sure it’s isolated before you do.
