Apparently the U.K. gas supply relies on about 3% from Russia and Oil about 8%, so the war in Ukraine shouldn’t have a big effect on the U.K. ?
Don’t quite get why, apparently, Moses is off to Saudi to talk about energy supply. Wouldn’t that just be going from relying on one ‘bad country’ to another ?
(I haven’t looked to see how much of our Oil and Gas comes from Saudi already).

Well the Russian stuff is very dirty and full of tar.
If it's Russian It will have a boat in it and if it's saudi, it will have a head
Makes no difference where it's from the markets set global prices so everyone pays those prices (800p/therm ofgas momentarily last week when the traditional BG contract price used to be 12p/therm). If Saudi open the taps increasing world production then the prices will drop due to supply and demand.
If the UK had used the interconnects as purely import to top up from day one rather than sell maximum excess gas we may not be in such a position but we are

But wasn’t one of the arguments that if needed they could reduce or remove VAT on energy, I don’t remember JRM saying ‘if energy prices soar, don’t worry we’ll lend you a couple of hundred quid’
I took 'White lighning' for an MOT on Monday and have stated to use it for work again, now that the weather has turned. It's cheap as chips to run and free through the Tyne Tunnel.
I bought it new in 2011 for £3,500 (pre-registered). About 3 years ago, I'd have been lucky to see £800 - £1,000 for it. Look at the prices of them right now.

No idea.I just fill it up and get about a week and a bit out of it. It used to cost about £6, but'll be more now.
With it being a 300cc, it'll hit 80mph, which is the most important thing when commuting on a dual carriageway. I'd not ride those roads on a 30mph, 125cc jobbie.
I filled up on the way to work today...£10.
I think before this, the most I've ever managed to get in was £8.
So... I'm not paying my hard earnt bangers n mash for energy at this extortionate rate.
